Mike Golic & Darren Woodson Discuss ‘Romo vs. Kitna’ Competition (video)

Backup tight end Martellus Bennett made some noise following his appearance on “The Ben & Skin Show” when he said, “Kitna is one of my favorite people to play with. Just being out there on the field with that guy makes you play even harder. He made some things happen in limited time, so I think if he got a longer chance, he’d be able to do more. I hope there’s a chance for a quarterback competition this year. Every position, I think we need to put more competition into it.”

There would have to be a serious change in heart among the Cowboys coaching staff and ownership in order for a serious quarterback competition to open. Instead of hoping for a QB competition, Bennett should worry about focusing his skills and not lose his second-string position to John Phillips.
