Not even a lockout can keep them away from practicing. According to backup quarterback Stephen McGee the Cowboys will conduct there own workouts starting in April. McGee spoke at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes event in Amarillo, McGee told the Amarillo Globe-News that quarterback Tony Romo and starting tight end Jason Witten will lead and organize the workouts.
“We are going to find a way to get work in,” McGee told the newspaper. ” The off-season work is always very important even if it’s just doing light 7 on 7’s to get refreshed. The playbooks are really thick in the NFL. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done. There’s going to be an NFL season. There’s got to be.”
Hopefully getting into practice and back on the field will get the Dez Bryant and other distractions out of the news. It’s time to get back to football and its nice to see the Cowboys getting started and hopefully ready to have a better season than last year.
