Who Will Be Defensive Coordinator In 2011?

With the expected announcement of Jason Garrett becoming the head coach seemingly right around the corner, more and more rumors are beginning to circulate about the supporting coaching staff for next season. Reports surfaced earlier today that Garrett would be interested in Wisconsin’s Paul Chryst as offensive coordinator and now there is speculation regarding the team’s next defensive coordinator.

Paul Pasqualoni did an admirable job for the Cowboys once Wade Phillips was fired, but the fact remains that the defensive unit was still atrocious. That brings us to the man who could possibly fill the role.

The Cowboys asked for and received permission from the Miami Dolphins to interview assistant head coach Todd Bowles, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Bowles is going to be interviewed for the Dallas head coaching job, but ESPN Dallas’ Tim MacMahon states that Bowles could be the team’s next defensive coordinator.
