With Sunday’s Cowboys game against the Eagles the dissappointing season for the Boys will finally come to an end. However after firing Wade Phillips and giving the job to Jason Garrett the Cowboys seemed like a different team, after winning game against Detroit, New York and a close loss to the Saints the Cowboys seemed to be headed in the right direction. After these games Jason Garrett seemed all but a lock to get the interim tag removed and be named the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
However after a loss the Eagles, a close win against the Redskins and an embrassing loss on Christmas night to the Arizona Cardinals the job is not such a lock anymore. With the Eagles possbily benching many of their starters with their playoff spot locked up, this is could be the perfect chance for the Cowboys to take a step in the right direction for the 2011 season. This Sunday’s game could also be the make or break game for Garrett, with so many coaches possibly being fired at the end of the season a loss on sunday could cost Garrett the job.
I have been very impressed with the changes I have seen since Garrett took over, however only wins matter and a loss sunday would make Garrett 4-4 since taking over which I know is a great turnaround from the 1-7 reacord we had. Just don’t know if it is a good enough turn around in Jerry Jones’s eyes.
Should Garrett keep the job if they lose? Should he be the coach even if they win? If he loses the job who should be the next Cowboys coach?
