After the season the Cowboys have put together, it is easy to see the needs the Cowboys have to address in the upcoming draft. The three biggest areas the Cowboys need to address are cornerback, safety and offensive line.
At times all three places have looked solid and reliable, however, in big games this year those areas have been glaring holes. Looking at the top 10 projected players in the upcoming draft, I would love for the Cowboys to go a get someone like a Patrick Patterson, a cornerback from LSU, or even Rahim Moore, a Safety from UCLA.
The Cowboys also need to look at drafting a possible guard, because with Kosier a free agent at the end of the season we will possibly need to replace him. Patterson may not fall as far as number 7 and 7 maybe too high to draft Moore or any offensive lineman, however, these postions need to be in mind when we are on the clock.
Whether the Cowboys get the guys I mentioned or not, they need to be defensive-minded when it comes to draft day because the offense is fine. The ‘Boys have a solid wide receiving unit with Bryant coming into form late in the season before getting injured. Felix Jones and Choice showed they are more than able to carry the load at running back and Romo will be fine once he gets healthy.
The defense and possibly a kicker is what the Cowboys need because if they don’t than 2010 could be a preview of what is to come in 2011.
