IRVING, Texas – Teddy Williams is familiar with the term “fast track.” Evidently that is the Cowboys’ plan for the former college sprinter, signed to the practice squad as a long-term project in training camp.

Dallas Cowboys punter Mat McBriar will return to the scene of his broken streak and foot on Saturday when Dallas plays Arizona for the first time since Oct. 12, 2008.

IRVING — At 5-9, the Dallas Cowboys are a bad team in the midst of a dreadful season. But just as not everybody played well during the Cowboys’ 11-5 season of a year ago, it would be wrong to say everyone’s overall performance has been second-rate during this season.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says there’s no timetable yet for signing a naming-rights deal for Cowboys Stadium. Jones, who’d been mum on the subject, was reacting to press speculation that a corporate agreement worth as much as $400 million would be in place before Super Bowl XLV in February.
