School Closings? Take A Break With The Injury Report

The northeast has seen their first significant snow of the season and schools everywhere are closing, so to you displaced Cowboys fans, here is something to pass your time while staying inside and avoiding the snowy outdoors. To you locked away in the office or in the peace and quiet of your own home, here is some news for you to take in as well.

Take a look at the list over injuries Dallas suffered during their epic Sunday win over the Indianapolis Colts.

*Wide receiver Dez Bryant underwent successful surgery Monday to repair bone and ligament damage in his broken right fibula. Bryant will be out three to four months.

*Tight end Jason Witten has a sprained right ankle and was walking with a slight limp toward the trainer’s room on Monday. Witten said he was sore and should be fine for Sunday night’s game vs. the Eagles.

*Linebacker Sean Lee, who suffered a sprained shoulder in the win, played through it with some extra padding under his shoulder pads.

*Linebacker Keith Brooking had his snaps limited at times due to a sprained foot that caused him to wear a shoe that was a size larger than normal. He has a plate inserted in the shoe. Brooking could be limited in practice this week.

*Safety Gerald Sensabaugh has a quad bruise and said he’s fine.

*Cornerback Orlando Scandrick suffered a concussion in the game and will have to undergo some baseline tests before getting cleared to play.

*Notes: Running back Marion Barber, who missed Sunday’s game with a calf strain, is week-to-week according to interim coach Jason Garrett. … Quarterback Tony Romo is still not ready to start practicing with his broken left collarbone. Romo said he’s still in some discomfort.

Obviously, the loss of Dez Bryant leaves a huge hole in the Cowboys offense. When Bryant was healthy and on top of his game, he was the team’s biggest playmaker who would always move the chains and reel in highlight catches.

Sensenbaugh and Scandrick will need to get healthy due to the lack of depth Dallas already has in the secondary. Same goes for Keith Brooking and Sean Lee in the linebacking corp.

Marion Barber looks like he will miss another game and that is a blessing in disguise — or maybe just a blessing — because it will give Tashard Choice another opportunity to run wild.
