Cowboys running back Tashard Choice could finally get the shot he has been waiting for all season. The former Yellow Jacket has not seen much action this season for some strange reason. The coaching staff favors the unproductive Marion Barber over Choice, but now Barber is injured.
Barber strained his left calf in the loss to the Saints and the injury could sideline him for one or two weeks. He does have some extra time to recover due to the Cowboys Thanksgiving game, but it is unlikely that he’ll be ready to when Dallas plays Indianapolis.
If Barber is unable to go, Choice will get the call and he will look to make the most of it. The Colts rank 29th in the league in rush defense, so look for Choice to shine and have a breakout performance if he is handed the rock early and often.
