Down Goes Romo

For the fifth time this year, the New York Giants have knocked out a quarterback. Tony Romo is now in the locker room getting x-rays on his left shoulder.

Early in the second quarter, Tony Romo made a nice throw to Miles Austin that resulted in a first down. Unfortunately for Dallas, after making the throw, Romo stayed down on the turf.

Ironically when talking with Andrew Illinicki of GMEN HQ earlier today, we discussed this very topic.

How about the Giants defense this season? The Giants have knocked out 4 QBs so far… Are people nervous about Romo getting dinged up this game?

Every game the Cowboys play, you have to worry about Romo getting hurt. There is little depth on the roster at quarterback and while he may be prone to making Brett Favre sized mistakes, Romo is still one of the better QB’s in the league.

Fullback Chris Gronkowski blew his blocking assignment and as a result Giants linebacker Michael Boley laid a huge hit on Romo and wrapped him up before driving him into the ground. Romo remained flat on his back and grasping his left shoulder.

In comes Jon Kitna… let us hope that this is not serious.
