Last night, I submitted my weekly article for It was appropriately titled “Plea To Jason Garrett: Get Felix Jones The Ball.” Either someone was listening or it was perfectly timed, because today Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that we can all expect to see more of Felix Jones.

“Everyone is in unanimous agreement with the staff, scouts, everybody involved that Felix needs to touch the ball more,” Jerry Jones said today on the radio.

“He’s just too much of a threat and that was our intention in preseason coming out, no matter whether he’s certainly getting a chance in the running game but the passing game as well.  I really look for you to see a lot more of Felix Jones.”

Entering the season, Felix was supposed to have an improved role in the offense. The plan never seemed to materialize as Jones only got twenty two carries total in the team’s first three games.

Now that not only fans but the team’s owner are calling to “give Jones the damn ball,” let’s see if the plan comes to fruition and Felix brings the added spark to the Dallas running game.
