A Silver Lining for Next Week

This may be grasping at straws, but the Houston Texans went into overtime.  Last year when there was a ton of discussion on the revision of the overtime rules, there was a little known statistic that came to light that teams who play in an overtime game have a 70% chance of loss the following week, regardless of the length of the overtime or whether the team won or lost.

Having said that, 70% isn’t the exact number.  I did a variety of Google searches, and it is no where to be found.  However, I do recall that being an incredibly interesting statistic, though the exact number very well could be higher or lower than 70%
