1. Maybe Norv Turner is fired as head coach of the San Diego Chargers and he will return home to be the offensive coordinator for the Cowboys. The Chargers and Cowboys run the same offensive system, and he was the original offensive genius for the Cowboys during their run in the 90′s.
2. Did anyone listen to the Chiefs fans? That was a commendable 12th man effort. The Cowboys can fit 100,000 fans into Cowboys Stadium and you can hear crickets. Cowboys fans who attend the game have to raise their level of intensity on more than 3rd down. Support your team or don’t complain.
3. Can we agree that it is difficult to play on the road in prime time in the first week of the season. The Vikings, Cowboys, and Chargers all fall to their respective opponents. The lone winner were the Ravens who won by one point. In 2009, again the road team won 25% of the time (and that was the Chargers winning a close game against an awful Raiders team). Since 2007, road teams playing in prime time have lost 75% of the time. That’s 12 out of 16 games. That sounds like a trend for degenerate gamblers. Tuck that information away in your PDA or Google calendar for next year.
