Crayton Traded to Chargers for 7th Round Pick

The title says it all.  The bottleneck at receiver is relieved for the Dallas Cowboys.  I have reservations about letting a competent WR go who can play at the edges as well as in the slot, but it allows does allow both Sam Hurd and Kevin Ogletree to remain with the team.  Consequently, Hurd will still be available to provide a valuable special teams presence.  Ogletree will have additional time to develop and will not be exposed to other teams by cutting and then placing him on the practice squad.

As for the San Diego Chargers, they receive a veteran who is familiar with the offensive system, who reportedly had the best hands on the Cowboys offense.  It sounds like a bargain.  Fair thee well Crayton.

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night…
