Minicamps and OTA’s are now over for the Dallas Cowboys. Next up: training camps and then the start of the 2010 preseason. The Cowboys will split training camp into two different locations: July 23rd – August 6th (San Antonio, Texas) and August 14th – August 27th (Oxnard, California). Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins had a sensational sophomore season in 2009 in which he tallied 49 tackles and five interceptions which put him in the discussion as one of the league’s top young cornerbacks. In the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected a high-profile wide receiver from Oklahoma State — Dez Bryant. Martellus Bennett — the “KungFuAstronaut” as he goes by on Twitter — spoke out yesterday and gave his opinion on the Vince Young situation. The Dallas Cowboys and their loyal fans have shared kicking woes over the past few seasons and second year kicker David Buehler is hoping to erase those memories. Buehler served as a kickoff specialist in 2009, but during the offseason he is being given every opportunity to take over field goal kicking duties. Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett has never been one to shy away from letting his thoughts known and at times it has even gotten him into trouble. This time, Bennett used his Twitter account to rip Titans quarterback Vince Young over Young’s recent strip club incident. Young received a citation by Dallas police after he threw a punch at a man inside an office at Club Onyx in Dallas. As the start of the 2010-11 NFL regular season is approaching, it is becoming more and more likely that wide receiver Patrick Crayton will not be on the Dallas Cowboys roster. Many fans anticipate the release and some news over the weekend made Crayton’s release seem more imminent.
