Even I thought the Philadelphia Eagles were stealing Earl Thomas away from the Dallas Cowboys by moving up in the draft. Wrong. Surprisingly, they chose Brandon Graham, who was projected to be a 2nd rounder. I’m baffled.

No one on the Dallas Cowboys draft board has been picked yet, which means the Cowboys could be making a move up in this draft to select Earl Thomas or Dez Bryant. Miami already traded with the San Diego Chargers, so rumors that the Cowboys were working a deal are dead. Instead of the Cowboys moving up first, it is the Philadelphia Eagles! Eagles steal Earl Thomas from the Dallas Cowboys!

One for one!!!! 2.  Zero teams will trade out of the first round and into the second round.  Considering the new draft format and the 24 hour news cycle, teams will be conscientious of local media. By: Joe D.   Presuming that the Cincinnati Bengals actually offered a “first day” pick to the Cowboys for Bennett (as indicated by Jerry Jones prior to the 2009 trade deadline), the Cowboys would have the 21st and 27th picks in the 2010 NFL Draft (also assuming Bennett’s presence wouldn’t have lead to Bengals to a championship).    If the Cowboys had accepted that offer, they would certainly have the necessary draft picks to move up into the top of the draft.  If you follow the draft value chart, the Cowboys could package both first round picks and move up to [...]

According to an article by Clarence Hill, Jr., teams have contacted the Cowboys about veteran players.  Teams will generally do their due diligence to find out if Tony Romo could be had for a 5th round pick.  Obviously not.  It begs the question, what veterans may be sent to a new home if a reasonable offer is placed on the table? On the NFL Network you can watch week by week analysis of each team’s schedule.  Additionally, you can find the scheduled released on NFL.com.  The entire schedule was released concurrently by both media at 7p.m. est. Go back to last year’s Cowboys season opener against the Giants last year.
