Marcus Spears Stays With Cowboys

Marcus Spears and Steve Octavien signed with the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday.

Spears in his first three seasons appeared to be a first-round draft bust from 2005. But the past few years he has really stepped up his play as defensive end and has produced some solid numbers. The Cowboys tendered Spears at $1.2 million. He made just $735,000 last year.

Octavien signed for a year and was most valuable on special teams.
