Marion Barber Expected To Play Against Vikings

Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber is expected to play in Sunday’s playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings. Barber has not fully recovered from a knee injury, which has greatly limited his carries and allowed a more healthy Felix Jones to get a bulk of the action. Jones gives the Cowboys a big-play threat.

The Vikings have the second-best run defense in the NFL. Barber has struggled recently on short yardage plays, including failing to score when at first and goal. But the Vikings have not this season faced a team with three quality running backs who can be switched around to keep each one fresh.

Another factor in the game surely will be the home-field advantage at a dome.

Head coach Wade Phillips finally won a playoff game in his head coaching career, which also ended an ugly playoff win drought dating back to 1996. The win over the Eagles last week n the wildcard game
