Did Cowboys Doug Free Have Block Of The Year?

Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Doug Free is not a starter, but he may have earned a spot after his incredible block Sunday in the Cowboys 24-0 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

I couldn’t believe how fast Free was burning down the field as Felix Jones raced through the Eagles defense. At first I couldn’t even tell who it was, and didn’t believe it when I saw it was Doug Free. I had to rewind and view it again because I didn’t think a big chunkster could run that fast.

But honestly, I ask if it was the block of the year because it showed great effort, and it shored up the win for the Cowboys.

Head coach Wade Phillips said Free will see more playing time Saturday night in the playoffs. After that block, he deserves it.
