Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware is feeling healthy and could play Saturday night against the undefeated New Orleans Saints, while head coach Wade Phillips seems to think Nick Folk, who has missed six of nine field goals, is his best option.
Ware did not practice Tuesday, but he told reporters that he feels 100 percent better.
The chief reason why Phillips is going with Nick Folk is because the guy they wanted to replace him with, David Buehler, missed all three of his 35-yard field goal attempts in practice. That’s not good, folks. Folk made three of four kicks. From 35 yards, you would think he’d make them all.
Personally, I thought it would be a poor decision to drop Folk, considering that he was very reliable last season.
If you are out of a job and have a good leg, you may want to try out for the Cowboys field goal kicking job.

I just read a comment from Folk’s kicking coach. He said that Folk’s timing is off. The only problem is that once a kicker starts missing field goals, it creeps into his head and the goal posts start to look more and more narrow.
Just like a good golfer. Your good when you can correct your swing or kick on the fly or with attention to detail back to the basics. Not happening hear. Another coaching issue. There must be a dozen kickers with nfl experience available for tryout. Bring em in for a how you kicking NOW vs. last year. We need the best kicker kicking now not last year. I can’t believe they are only now checking on Bueler to see if he can kick? So we have not one but 2 kickers on the squad that can’t kick a consistent field goal. This is getting like a comedy act.
