Terence Newman and Coach Dave Campo Get Into Fight On Sidelines
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman and secondary coach Dave Campo got into a fight on the sidelines today in the game against the Washington Redskins.
The play that likely caused the fight was one in which Redskins QB Jason Campbell avoided a DeMarcus Ware sack to throw a 23-yard pass for a first down. The receiver was wide open.
When Newman came off the field, Campo immediately got in his face. At first glance it looked as if Campo was trying to fire up Newman. But it became apparent within a few seconds that this was no joke.
Still in the first quarter, neither team has scored. Tony Romo could easily have two interceptions already. Marion Barber has fumbled for the first time this season.
Redskins running back Ladelle Betts is done for the day with a knee injury. Albert Haynesworth is not playing.

Wow this is hard to watch. I am so sick of this team. The offense does good the defense falters the defense steps up then the offense cant do anything. All I can do is blame the coaches. Jason Garrett has completely lost it, this team does not believe in him and neither do I. I wonder if Roy Williams is ever going to catch a pass. Boy he is getting the boo birds I wonder if he leaves his house in Dallas? Cause he deserves to be bood at the grocery store….
November 22nd, 2009 at 3:27 pmRomo hasn’t been much good today either. A lot of his passes have been pretty high today.
Just running the ball ain’t the answer. We’ve got to do better in the passing game.
November 22nd, 2009 at 3:35 pmThank God we won that was so painful.
November 22nd, 2009 at 5:39 pmCongrats on the win. You lucky bastids. I hope we at least made you scared for a while.
November 22nd, 2009 at 5:40 pmgood to hear from you redskins guy. how you doin? yeah, i was scared shitless for all 4 qtrs. we may have won the game…..on the scoreboard and in the W column, but we did’nt win anything else.
November 22nd, 2009 at 6:36 pmI’ve been doing well. Where is everyone? I guess they all fell asleep watching that snoozefest of a game. Don’t let Landry tell anyone that I only show my face when something bad happens to the Cowboys. I come and say hi when I can, win or lose.
November 22nd, 2009 at 7:14 pmGood to hear from you, RG. I was scared the whole game, even after Spencer’s int.
November 22nd, 2009 at 7:29 pmWhat’s not to like..A comeback win against the hated Redskins..’
Plus…an obviously injured Romo fought through the pain to go 6 for 7 on the only drive that mattered..Pulling off an incredible scramble and then a pin point pass to Patrick Crayton for the game winner..
At least that is how I saw it..
November 22nd, 2009 at 7:51 pmThat’s some impressive Kool Aid you’re drinking there Bev. Last week, were you talking about how great the cowboys looked because the defense was in keeping the Packers shut down for most of the game?
You got lucky and squeeked by with a win against a very bad Redskins team. What are you going to do when you have to face someone who’s, you know, competitive?
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:01 pmYou’ve got to be joking, Bevo. That was a wretched game from Tony. He did show guts on the last drive, but I’m not willing to forget the rest of the game for it.
RG, your whole team isn’t bad. Your defense was pretty good today and has been through this season. Your offense is terrible.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:32 pm…Romo had an injury give him some credit for playing with it. The skins are not that bad of a team besides Jason Cambell you guys need a QB. Anyone see the Raiders pull of a upset on the Bengals wow. Makes you wonder how easy we have it next week they play horrible but they sure pulled off two upsets on the Eagles and Bengals.
November 22nd, 2009 at 10:45 pmJason Campbell isn’t a terrible quarterback. He’s thrown a few too many picks but he’s completing 66% of his passes on the season. I’d put more of the blame on their offensive line, which can go back to a lot of injuries. The Skins’ defense is pretty strong. Hats off to them for a good game.
It’s not lost on me that Romo was somewhat hurt, but he was not good today. It’s football, not pattycake, and people are going to get bumps and bruises. I’m tired of hearing excuses for Romo and I’m tired of making them.
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:11 pmAlso, I’m not that worried about the Raiders. We’ve got Gradkowski’s number.
