Pink Cleats, Gloves More than Fashion For Bradie James

Written by theMBIIIeffect

Much like Chad Ochocinco and Chris Johnson, inside linebacker Bradie James will wear pink gloves and cleats as part of the NFL’s “Crucial Catch” campaign.

The campaign is aimed at getting women over 40 to have regular mammograms.

While some may wear the pink as a fashion statement, James’ pink garb means a little more.

James’ mother, Etta, died of breast cancer while he was in college. His charity, Foundation56, is dedicated to breast cancer awareness.

“It’s definitely special for me,” James said of breast cancer awareness month. “I have a passion for it, because my mom lost her battle with breast cancer. It’s good that we can do some things. I’m happy that the league is picking up on breast cancer awareness month. We’re going to go out and honor all the survivors and all the people who have lost their battle and just promote awareness.”

The Dallas Cowboys host their Breast Cancer Awareness game on Oct. 25th against Atlanta.
