Did Jesse Holleywood Holley Secure A Roster Spot?

by Cowboys

Did “4th and Long” reality television show winner Jesse Holley secure a spot on the Dallas Cowboys with his game-winning 82-yard punt return last night against the Minnesota Vikings?

Make what you will of it, the Cowboys desperately need some attack on special teams. Felix Jones showed some promise last year but it is not clear if the Cowboys will use him at that capacity.

Jesse Holley is a true underdog.

Rookie Kevin Ogletree had another touchdown catch.

Two Cowboys returned interceptions for touchdowns after the Vikings stormed out to a 21-7 lead. The game looked to be over until Holley ran a gem of a run for a punt return touchdown.

At it looks like Mat McBriar is healthy, as he averaged 54 yards a punt on four punts.

Do you think that Charles Haley deserves to be in the Ring of Honor?

Practice squad players make about 5000 a week. I would take that over my current job any day of the week!!!

Brandon you're an idiot. I like him a lot but the practice squad is exactly where he belongs. It's a place where he can develop further and make over 200 grand (I believe) doing it.

And that return should have never happened. Players aren't supposed to field balls like that -- but I'm sure he did it out of frustration. He never really got much of a chance but hustled every play. He could be a good 3rd or 4th receiver in the future, but definitely not now.

He's durable and big and he has a great mentor. The practice squad is how Alonso Coleman played last year too, and considering our lack of depth and fragile receivers corps I can't see how you're mad...

Oh and you're an idiot.

Brandon...go back on your meds..and stay away from the mushrooms..

this cut is the most bullshit cut i have ever heard of he won us the last preseason game. i think he should be on the team and not on practice squad i mean if u have a guy who can run it back far like that how many times in the past 12- 15 years have we had a player do that. he doesnt deserve to be on the practice squad he deserves a playing spot on the team. actually dont laugh but i think we have eventually found our next Michael Irvin.

I hope he get to be on the practice squad I think he just needs some more help learning his position. Michael Irvin helped him much more towards his career. Irvin told him to make the best out of every play and he did.

I really like Ogletree he has shown me nothing but good things this preseason. I'd take Holley over Stanback any day.

Officially he didnt make the team but I think he helped his chances in making the practice squad. Finally Stanback got let go.

You might have included in your poll the practice squad..He may make that..
