Mike Jenkins: “We Were Playing As Individuals, Not As A Team”

Posted by: thelandryhat

Mike Jenkins was a rookie during one of the most disappointing letdowns in Dallas Cowboys‘ history. In an interview with The Landry Hat, he admits that he really didn’t know if any one person, any one thing, was causing the Cowboys to implode in a year they were predicted to win a record-setting sixth Super Bowl. Instead, the Pittsburgh Steeler did it.

Jenkins wasn’t too blame for the disaster this past season. But one thing that he said that struck me was that the Dallas Cowboys were playing as individuals, not as a team. That’s a valuable lesson a rookie could have learned from the 2008 Dallas Cowboys.

Here’s the entire interview with Mike Jenkins.

Good interview,  I’m glad we picked two good DB’s last year’s draft, and the good thing is that they will only get better, unless they are like number 31.  Hopefully whoever gets the position change if it hasnt been announced yet will shine in that spot and secondary would be the least of our worries after this season.
