Yeah I hear ya. We have two very capable pseudo-quarterbacks – however with someone like Tony Romo — I would think you would want him on the field.

We’ll see though, Miami did rock some defenses with it — and we have twice the talent, I think.

I see the argument that you’re trying to make, KD. I’m guessing you think that, in running the Razorback, we’re only going to run the ball. That’s not how that particular formation works. The great thing about the Razorback/Wildcat/whatever you want to call it is that you don’t know where the play is coming. Look at how the Dolphins ran it. They had Ricky Williams AND Ronnie Brown carry the ball out of the Wildcat. AND they let Brown throw it every now and then too.The Dolphins even ran a few plays with Chad Pennington split out wide or in the wing. Tony Romo is athletic enough to line up in the wing, take the handoff and make a throw on the run. It’s even better that we have some former quarterbacks who can line up in the shotgun and throw it OR pull it down and run. The formation is, by design, unpredictable.

What’s the value in a formation that takes Tony Romo off the field?

Sorry bud, I don’t know that the defense will have any problems when they know it’s coming.

And Felix should return every kick and every punt. ESPECIALLY punts. Punt coverage isn’t as easy as covering kickoffs for the defense, make a couple of guys miss and you can be gone.

Felix CAN make guys miss.

I do want him there most of the time, if not all the time. He’s so dangerous in the open. We have two other extremely competent running backs in Marion Barber and Tashard Choice, so why not? Those two aren’t going to be returning kicks anytime soon, so let Felix get some looks at kick/punt returns. Marion Barber is still the starter right now, meaning limited carries. He’s a great change of pace back, but he’s still not going to see much more than 12 carries per game anyway.

The formation I’m really itching to see is the Razorback. I’ve been reading that Felix Jones has been taking some snaps in that formation. It’d be killer to see Felix in the shotgun, Barber standing next to him, Crayton or Stanback in the wing (both former quarterbacks) and any assortment of receivers/tight ends (our top two TE’s are nearly uncoverable). As a defensive coordinator, I’d be looking for a change of underwear.

im not saying he is fragile but do you really want him there at all times? i love felix and i think he is tough but he needs more reps as a rb not a punt returner and he is more likely to get injured returning punts then he is returning kicks or at rb..i just dont want to go another season without him again

Felix is a perfect return man. He’s fast and he’s strong. He has a rough season with injuries and suddenly he’s fragile… I don’t get it?

Yup we do need some receivers. I still think Andrew Hawkins wins a role as a punt returner for our Cowboys though.

This is not about Pac man but about a WR the Cowboys can still secure the rights to, Corey Surrency. Tall WR about the same size as Randy Moss. 4.48 speed. Just finished watching him on youtube. You can see him dominate lower copitition as a Junior college player. And Make some amazing grabs at FSU. I say the Cowboys should at least give him a look.

Who else is going to return punts for us? We dont want Felix Jones there..Crayton clearly doesnt like that role n he is too slow..when you see pacman returning punts you see enthusiasm and energy..he is one tackel away from breaking it…just watch
