Michael Jackson Memorial Post
Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, left us this week. His unexpected death shocked the world, and shook the music industry. He was 50. He leaves behind a monkey, an amusement park, four brothers, three sisters and a silver diamond-studded glove. Somehow, I’ve tied his songs to some problems with the Dallas Cowboys: “Beat It” Terrell Owens was released. He graciously accepted a 1-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in the freezing hell of western New York. There seemed to be a bunch of white guys on the Cowboys who were tired of Owens’ locker room antics. Owens has often [...]

Free Reign Is Going To Ruin Your Life
If matters out of Valley Ranch couldn’t get anymore insane, three Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman have formed a heavy metal band they they say is harder than metal. Leonard Davis, Marc Colombo and Cory Procter are members of Free Reign. They have one show booked and that’s a fundraiser with DeMarcus Ware. These guys must be great. They are so good that ESPN refused to release even a few seconds of the live footage of these guys blasting their free rock music. I have to admit, the whole spectacle is a bit weird to see.Leonard Davis looks like a huge [...]
Jerry Jones Hints at New Direction For Cowboys
Written by theMBIIIeffect Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones has again come out and defended his release of wide receiver Terrell Owens. In an article from Yahoo sports, Jones also drops a hint a new direction that the Cowboys’ offense might take this season. Jones told the Dallas Morning News: “Frankly, the most basic reason that I changed my mind regarding Terrell Owens was the ability to maximize the potential of Roy Williams, Miles Austin, Sam Hurd, the running backs and our tight ends. That was the most fundamental thing. “We wanted to take advantage of where we are with the talent [...]
Written by theMBIIIeffect Brace yourselves. Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton is apparently looking a little faster after this offseason. This comes from an article in the Dallas Morning News. It’s not just the press throwing this news out there. Even Jason Witten thinks Crayton is looking quicker. “He looks faster, more explosive,” tight end Jason Witten said. Crayton has been training at the Michael Johnson Performance Center in McKinney, Texas with former strength and conditioning assistant Lance Walker, who echoed Witten’s sentiments. “He’s figuring out, ‘You know what? I need to start looking for some ways to continue to separate [...]
Ease up on Roy Williams, ESPN
Written by theMBIIIeffect Monday was a strange day for me. I was watching First and Ten on ESPN2 where Skip Bayless was debating the aptly named duo, 2 Live Stews. That wasn’t the strange part. The strange part was that I caught myself agreeing with Skip Bayless. Bayless and I agreed on the latest overhyped practice camp story out of Dallas, namely that Roy Williams mentioned wanting the ball to Tony Romo after Romo missed an open Williams in practice. The video is here, with the comments in question coming around the 58 second mark. While the 2 Live Stews [...]
Chris Cooley Slammed For Girly Arm–LINK FIXED
We loved the post at Mr. Irrelevant today about Washington Redskins tight end Chrissy Cooley. The Landry Hat had his own face-off with the Cooley Clan here, if you didn’t remember. I wonder where Tanner Cooley is today as a Washington-loving blog completely slams their beloved tight end. You have to give Mr. Irrelevant credit: He tells it like it is. Cooley throws like a little girl. If someone could make millions of that video, it would be to show children how NOT to throw a football. Washington, in my honest opinion, is going to be really, really bad in [...]
Jerry Jones Denies Interest In Pacman Jones
Jerry Jones is now denying that the Dallas Cowboys have any interested in troubled cornerback and punt returner Adam “Pacman” Jones. I guess that means most fans can breathe a sigh of relief because Pacman’s good days in the NFL as a viable return man and cornerback are pretty much over. He damaged the team in games last season rather than help and his incident at a Texas hotel where he fought with his own bodyguard was just over the top stupid. If Jerry was serious, along with the coaching staff, that they wanted to clean up the locker room, [...]
Matt Mosley’s Live Blogs Dallas Cowboys OTAs
ESPN’s Matt Mosley is live blogging the Dallas Cowboys OTAs. All eyes are on Tony Romo and Roy Williams. You can follow the action here.
Jerry Jones Says Adam Pacman Jones Could Return
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones apparently told someone in the press that it is possible–albeit a longhot–that Adam “Pacman” Jones could return with the team this season. Jones, and head coach Wade Phillips, promised to revamp the team and rid the locker room of trouble. So, it’s a bit confusing to hear Jones is even considering, even so slightly, to bring Pacman Jones back to the team. Maybe we’re the ones who are unfair. Maybe we don’t really knowo who this guy is. But one thing I do know is he didn’t show very much talent last season. His good [...]
