Terrell Owens on Twitter: Blame Tony Romo and Jason Garrett

by Cowboys

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens is on Twitter, the social networking site that allows a few characters of an update.

Apparently, Owens was responding to a fan on his Twitter site. The fan said he was mad about Owens’ departure from Dallas. Owens responded that the blame should go to quarterback Tony Romo and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

As Fanhouse rightly points out, and it is something none of us really need to be reminded about, but this is the same Owens who cried at the podium, proclaiming “That’s my quarterback” after an embarrassing loss to the New York Giants in the playoffs. Suddenly, Romo’s no longer is quarterback.

I doubt this gets too ugly because Romo doesn’t have Twitter.

Romo only wishes he could toss the blame on T.O.  now, but he and Garrett tossed out the only realistic insurance policy Dallas had at a wide out.. I  Just can't believe romo is gonna get another season to stage his medeocrity in Dallas without  him and Garrett being held accountable.. It just is NOT fair to the fans!!  KITNA ! KITNA! KITNA!!

Hi guys,  all of  us are going to miss a lot to  Terrel "EL DORADO" Owens.

He was the only good  thing the Dallas had this last years. The rest of the team are just  losers. It is more probable that the bills can win a playoff game this year that the dallas can win it.

Just wait and see people!

T.O. drew consistent double teams, creating openings for Witten and the running game.  Roy Williams is an excellent receiver, but he was drafted to be T.O.'s complement, not his replacement.  This season, Romo will find single coverage all over the field, and there will be less time to throw.  That's all because Jones cut T.O.  The end result will be the blame falling to two people--Wade and Roy Williams.  However, the blame actually lies with the worst GM in the NFL, who is our GM, and Romo, whose numbers were hyperinflated by T.O.'s presence, the best tight end in football, and 5-6 seconds to throw the ball.  This season, that all changes.  The only way we will get to the Super Bowl again is for JJ to be an owner and hire a real GM.  I would like to say that this was my original idea, but it was told to me by a former Cowboys player that is respected throughout the metroplex.  I believe him.  Get set for more gag orders and blaming from your GM, but if I could gag anyone, it would be him.  Here's hoping that the light will come on someday.  I've been waiting for over a decade.

T.O. didn't make just as many plays as he did make.

Like I said, haters overdo is weaknesses, lovers his strengths.

If you're not on the fence about the T.O. thing then you're simply blurred one way or the other. He was just as good as he was bad, and we'll only know if it was a good decision after it has played out.

Because I am objective, I can argue just as strongly either side -- if you can't then, well, you're not objective.

ian, you long lost little bitch, have'nt heard from you in awile. seems you only crawl out from under that rock long enough to poke your little stinger in some where and  cause a little discomfort on someone then crawl right back to your hiding place. what a scum.......your're a little bitch. we named you that here long ago. you still are, and it has'nt changed. now go away, or crawl, however you do it.

LOL

GOTTA LUV TO! GIT YO POPKRN RDY!

LOL

44-6 with TO

88-3 without TO?

Yous all were slobbin on TO's knob this time last year, and now it's TO's fault the Cowboys suck? HAHAHA

Back to the cellar you go Dallas.

i did pour back some sailor jerry's spiced rum last nite. got a 4 day weekend, after that long memorial weekend i just went thru.

meant demarcus ware, what the hell have i been drinkin boys, ????thinkin about andre guorard, leonard davis, and marc columbo, and them guards???????. the o-line is on my mind lately......we need them to step up more than any unit on this team this year, i believe.

no it may not, but home field advantage is a premium in this league. and we'll have one to be the envy of them all. also 80,ooo seats put alot of money into your team that pays the contracts of andre ware that can bring a trophy to your table. it worksthat way. you need a venue for revenue?

who cares about the freakin new stadium? Wont help us win one game. Lots of money and attention for J jones. Unless you paid a bundle for tickets then sorry....Rather watch the game on my huge big screen HD tv...family had tickets since the cotton bowl but not this time jeerrry....

We are going to miss T.O whether you like it or not, whenever we needed a big play he answered our calls..Lets just hope Roy Williams can step up to the plate, it wasnt Romos fault we lost both playoffs games, if crayton catches that ball he is gone for a TD and its a different story but he failed Romo put it right in his hands. It wasnt Romos fault that the team felt behind to a better preapared eagles team. Romo is our guy and we will stay behind him he knows that and im guessing he likes being the star and face of the franchise but he didnt like getting yelled at for not throwing it at 81..remember this is a Romo friendly team... i just hope Romos head isnt too big now, we all know what our Defense can do under Wade..lets just hope we got the Offensive Coordinator that can take us all the way

i meant to say with a ground game roy can open up

i guess i'm focusing on all the positives we have going this year. i'm not going to look back at 2008. we closed our historic Texas Stadium and we now open our new home, Cowboys Stadium. we have a clean slate to start a brand new place in history. jerry's did a little house cleaning in the process, and let's let it be. we have a new backup qb, which could be huge down the road, and a fine young developmental qb in mcgee as well. that makes us stronger at that position. a terrible place of weakness we saw last year. we now know we have a fantastic young ground game that is just ready to take off, and now think of how more important our great TE, jason witten can be. we take pressure off of romo, and we can watch roy williams become a good solid #1 wr without having that running game to rely on. this will let him open up. our D will be younger, but just as effective. so lets just play it out and enjoy the start of a historic 2009 season. farwell terrell owens, thank you for all your hard work and production. we wish you well. let the wistle blow

I think those who hate T.O. overdo his weaknesses.

Those who love him, overdo his strengths.

We won't draft a WR. Haven't y'all heard, Irvin's gonna find us one.

Everybody hates T.O. this guy has never had a good relationship in his life. It is everybodys fault in Frisco it is everybodys fault in Philly now it is everybodys fault in Dallas. It is everybodys fault because they cant stand his personality he is a scumbag no one wants to be around somebody like him.

We have to, Triple. Our receiving corps is pretty shaky, and an injury to Roy Williams would leave us with Patrick Crayton as our #1 receiver. That's no good. That being said, I don't know who we could get our hands on this year. I think our best move is packaging Greg Ellis with some draft picks next year and shipping them to a team with defensive needs. The Cardinals could use a good defender, and I'd be glad to have Anquan Boldin in Dallas. The only problem with that is that deal is that Jerry Jones' ego will get in the way. I think a more likely move is for a free agent who has been in the league a while. somebody like Koren Robinson or Jerry Porter.

See the problem with saying Romo and Garrett are to blame is that it takes any fault away from T.O.  T.O. is to blame, he is the problem, he is the selfish player, he always has to put the blame on someone else other than himself.

Do you guys think we will pick up anther WR?

Of course,  Romo and Garret are to blame.  Thank God Jerry Jones listened.   I really believe that the departure of  T.O. will allow us to use all of our weapons.  Only time will tell but I am all for it.

Matt Jones to Dallas....We got a better chance of seeing Ocho Cinco than Coke head Jones.

I don't think Jones will sigh Jones. He is moving away from the direction that assumes that troubled players will be reborn here

Who cares about T.O.  he is a former cowboy.  Lets talk about potential future cowboys.  Matt Jones will not be suspended by the NFL.  Just curious how many of you guys would want the Cowboys to pick him up?  Do you think Jerry will try to get him?

Um... It's not his Quarterback anymore, or is that not as obvious as I thought it was?

I mean I understand you're trying to make this a big deal but it was his QB at the podium and now, from his computer, it's not.

Move on.

T.O. was good but we went a different direction. Now he'll be good for a bad team and likely provide immense entertainment for Bills fans and football fans a like. They have Lee Evans and T.O. Should be good to watch -- Next story. This one was over before it happened.

The simple fact is that TO could not play at top level anymore. he drops passes and cannot get separation. His ego finally surpassed his aging skills

His comments are more for trying to lie to himself than anything. I understand it. But a good move for the Bills as it will bring in people to that big stadium

T.O. is gonna wish he was back in Dallas this year you just watch.

who freakin cares. There are always 2 sides. Done over move on...This crap shouldn't even be in the news or this site. He is not a cowboy anymore. Go to Buffalo news to talk about him. Dont want to hear about the cat unless we play them in the super bowl. Then if it happens I'll listen to it for 2 freakin solid weeks....prior....bye

Did anyone hear Troy Aikman's comments on this?? He talked about it when he was talking about the Sports Legends Challenge event he is playing in.

Who care about #81, he's out of Dallas, thank god and lets focus on the season, not #81. He's the past. #81 loves the attention and we are continuing to give it to him. LEAVE IT ALONE!!! I hate Owens and here is why....http://www.mkrob.com/why-i-hate-terrell-owens/
