If Philadelphia Eagles Land Anquan Boldin, Cowboys in Trouble

The Philadelphia Eagles are showing interest in embattled Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin. I will be the first to say that if the Eagles do get Boldin—and I have this very troubled feeling that they will—the Dallas Cowboys, and quite frankly, every team in the NFL is in deep doo doo.

I don’t like the Eagles. I am not trying to fluff their feathers. I hate every darn player on that team. In fact, I only dislike the Washington Redskins more, and it is barely more. Both teams make me cringe. With that said, I don’t have the same vitriol for head coach Andy Reid. The guy makes bold moves like benching his star quarterback in the middle of the season, and he agrees to drop their top wide receiver because he was arguing with other players.

All Donovan McNabb has cried about ever since Terrell Owens was fired has been “Give me a No. 1 wide receiver.”

Boldin would be that guy. He will really be that guy. And I can see him connecting with McNabb real quick, for big gains, and freeing up sophomore DeSean Jackson. Brian Westbrook will look pretty, too.

So, shall we get down on our knees and pray they do not get him?

The Cowboys will have potential to win playoff games probably for the next five years straight, no matter who is coaching. The question will be: can they do it?

Yup, hate to admit it but he sure did. His owner handed him a lot of threats, but Jerry did the same thing for Romo and it didn't help him all that much.

And our RB Tandem? Jason Garrett won't be able to use them unless he puts 'em all in the slot.

Well, one of those rookie WR's burnt us a few times last year. Plus, they have a pretty legit left tackle so it'll be harder to get to him and put him under pressure. McNabb is still a pretty solid quarterback. He did pretty well against us last year.

hey Donovan had T.O and still choked..so 2 rookie WRs arent going to make a difference..if you dont believe me watch the NFC championship again..he had many chances to hit crossing routes but didnt..the sheagles need a new QB..and i bet he wont stay healthy anyways..so it doesnt even matter

We don't have any deep pass threats, but we do have plenty of defensive threats. If Felix Jones can stay healthy, we'll have as good a running back tandem as there is in the league. We have 2 tight ends that can cause matchup problems to defenses in Martellus Bennett and Jason Witten. I also think that Roy Williams is going to be a million times better this year with a better knowledge of the offense, being in better health and being Tony Romo's top WR. People quickly forget how good Roy was in Detroit before Calvin Johnson got there.

Yup. Plus a great O-Line, now. We haven't done shit to get better and we don't have any REAL defensive threats.... Now those can develop, we shall see... But going into the season, I'm gonna be screwed on Madden '10

I think we're in huge trouble. Donovan McNabb has two pure burners in Maclin and Jackson. This could be really bad news.

The balance of power has already shifted... The other NFC East teams had much better drafts and a much better offseason -- We sucked, now we have to try and be a blue-collar steelers-like team, which is tough with our media....

the balance of power would strongly shift to philly if they get Boldin. Hopefully the asking price for Boldin is big enough that philly doesnt go thru.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Life moves pretty fast...and F*ck Philadelphia.

Yes, OE, we very well could be in deep trouble.

Eagles have the best o line, with the addition of Jay Peters and the Andrew bro's.  B West, and maybe Moreno from Georgia(RB), and Deshean Jackson.  If they add Boldin, watch out, we in trouble.
