Dallas Cowboys Want Miles Austin Signed

Today is the deadline to sign restricted free agents Sam Hurd and Miles Austin. It appears neither are going to take their tenders, but the Fort Worth paper believes the Cowboys are trying to sign at least Austin to a multi-year deal.

I just hope they don’t shove him Patrick Crayton-like money. The guy hasn’t proven a whole lot to me, but I do see potential in him. I just haven’t been impressed with much that he has done in silver and blue. We had three rookies–Felix Jones, Martellus Bennett and Tashard Choice–outperform him, and Jones didn’t even play half a season.

I don’t mind keeping Austin, but I do mind if the Cowboys overpay for him.
