Every Cowboys year is interesting, it's what makes the brand.

But I don't think we'll have Ellis too much longer. All he cares about is getting paid and with so many teams switching to the 3-4 this year, it'd be a great time to get him off our hands!

And as for Ware? How many people have now vowed to be leaders this off season?

I agree Dan. It is hard to see such a soft spoken guy be a vocal leader. I think Bradie James is still the voice, but with Brooking also back there with Ware and Ellis, there is one hell of a group of LB's. It is hard to see anyone but James being the VOCAL LEADER though.

I think the defense will be ok though if the offense can get going again. Sure they need a player here and there to fill in some voids, but I think it can be done in the draft.

I think the leadership thing is going to have to come from the top and kind of how Coughlin handled it with the Giants a couple of years ago. IT seems to me after hearing Terrance Newman discuss this issue that it was always more of a chemistry issue than a leadership issue. I made a post a while back in the forum on Terrance Newman discussing this very thing, and it just seems to me that it is something that the coaches are going to have to deal with. Evidently Coughlin handled it right a couple of years ago because they went from pretty much non contenders to SuperBowl Champions after a little loosening up. I don't think it can all be placed on one mans shoulders, but if Ware thinks he can be a Strahan type of leader? He can try I guess. It will be weird to see though I will admit.
