Recently, the Fansided Network of NFL bloggers debated the worst draft picks for each NFL team.
As the draft approaches, fans always worry if their team will be the New York Jets and pick Kyle Brady with their top pick. It’s scary.
So, in your own opinion, who are the two worst draft picks the Cowboys ever made?
I came up with Quincy Carter and Shante Carver, who was the brunt of some jokes in “Boys will be Boys.”
I knew Carter would never make it in the NFL, even though he led the Cowboys to a playoff appearance under the guidance of Bill Parcels.Carter for the Cowboys threw 32 touchdowns and 37 interceptions for 6,337 yards. His overall QB rating was 71.7. He was a kid who showed great promise in his first two years with Georgia, but completely flopped in his junior year. He threw five interceptions in a game against South Carolina. How could this kid ever be picked with the second round pick? Jerry Jones. That’s how. I hated Carter.
Carver, who was drafted with the Cowboys first round pick actually played on a Super Bowl team. But according to the book “Boys will be Boys” he was overrated and never achieved anywhere close to the success scouts that he could reach. He was awful.
Do you have two guys who could replace those two as the Cowboys worst draft pick in history? If so, name them in the comments.
