Dallas Cowboys Will Not Sign Michael Vick

Folks, there is just no way on Earth that the Dallas Cowboys will show any interest in Michael Vick. If they do, I very well may fold this blog and call it quits.

Michael Vick, for one, is not going to play anywhere in the NFL as a backup, especially a third backup. The Cowboys just signed Jon Kitna, and believe it or not, he is fully capable of winning games if Tony Romo is injured.

Michael Vick brings baggage, a ton of baggage, that the Dallas Cowboys do not need. And let’s not forget that not only did this guy abuse dogs, he also abused Falcons fans who put a lot of support behind him. He was treated well in Atlanta and he turned his backs on the fans and flicked them off. Michael Vick is overrated and not a great passer.

So when the Dallas Morning-News speculated that Jerry Jones might show interest in Vick because of the popularity of the wildcat offense, I basically laughed it off. The DMN can speculate all it wants, but they are a newspaper. There’s nothing behind the speculation and it really would make absolutely no sense for this team.
