Terrell Owens Now Will Destroy Buffalo Bills

to-copyThe Buffalo Bills signed Terrell Owens today to a one-year deal worth $6.5 million. Too bad the Bills don’t have anyone who can really throw the ball to Terrell Owens. It’s like sending him to the Chicago Bears.

A better fit would have been in New Orleans, in my humble opinion. But oh well. He basically took the first team that offered him a contract. Good luck adjusting to that cold, frigid weather, Terrell.

yes exactly. garrett has to see that to much was put on romo to win games for us. he had great wrs and we still could'nt get it done. if that passing game is to thrive, it needs breathing room from a run game. the o-line will be more productive as well, because continual pass blocking is the most difficult for the big guys we got. it's tough to be effective backpedeling and blocking over a corse of 3-4hours. if you want to be effective with this line, let them power forward. the quickest way for a line to build continuity is to learn to run block together. and that does'nt come from me, that is a jimmy johnson theroey, so you can take that up with him. i agree with steamroller. we have one of the best sets of young backs in the league, and this team will win ball games when garrett figures ways to get the ball in their hands. let them help us win games, and stop putting the entire thing in romo's hands. it is still a team game, and nothing says team better than smashmouth running football.

I should say that Jason Garrett has one hell of a set of RB's (3). How he chooses to use him and how many times a game (PASS OR RUN) he chooses to go to them needs to increase. Take some of the pressure off of ROMO. If he ends up on the ground as much as he did this year, he isn't going to last very long before he gets gunshy.

One of the biggest things about T.O. that I am going to miss is his blocking. He could get downfield like a bullet to block for even other recievers. That is an element that was likely lost. Unless Miles Austin picked that up along the way? There is more to this T.O. thing than Jerry is letting on. We will never know the full truth. I too wish him well in Buffalo, but I can't sit around and dwell on the fact that he is gone. I try to look at the positive side of things. It's just the way I am, and Dallas does have one hell of a running game. No matter how much Jason Garrett decides to use it.

Then we might not have a whole lot to look forward to Sean. If that is the case, he had better perfect the screen pass and get the RB's incorperated into it somehow if speed is ever going to be a factor. Felix Jones can do a lot for us if he can stay healthy. I am really curious to see what happens in the draft also. There are some fast WR's out there this year.

davedallasfan, sorry but Garrett will never make this a run first offense, plain and simple.  That's completely against his make-up.  I'd absolutely want us to be run first but it's just not going to happen.  Probably 60/40 pass/run.  Write it down.

yeah, me too. i wish him well also.  i am still feeling a little sorry about not having his talent here. i think roy will be fine, and austin will get his chance and could come up big? hurd will be a factor as well. this will allow crayton to be in the slot where he belongs. but, i'm most excited about the potential future of our run game????? the nay sayers can say what they want, but that is why jerry let owens go. we can now concentrate on run first and pass second. i think this is the big change that everyone was buzzing about, and i think it will work. we have a better fit personell wise on both sides of the ball to make us a power run squad, with a decent air attack. i think we'll throw less, but it will be more effective in the long run, and again our D will benifit from be able to catch more wind time?

New Orleans is obviously a better fit for T.O. but Sean Payton came out and blasted him for dropping too many passes at key moments in the game. I think Buffalo will benefit, Lee Evans especially. The kid is an absolute burner and will have huge numbers if T.O. takes away some double coverage.

I say good luck to the guy. He put up good numbers for us while he was here. He could be a pain, but he always wanted to win as bad as anyone out there. I'm going to keep an eye on him this season and hope he does well.

NFL network is reporting that Roy Willimas (SS) has turned down one offer already but has a couple other team looking at him..WTF?!?!?! if he gets a good big contract then i will no longer trust JJ..i understand the whole you cant trade T.O because of his contract but i think we shouldve and couldve traded Roy Williams and atleast get something in return a 4th or possibly a 3rd pick

Hey Jim remember that one game in 2007.  It was a monday night game when Dallas played at Buffalo. Remember when Romo threw 5 int and 2 TDs. Yea he came back and put the Cowboys in position to win that game. Remember when Trent Edwards threw zippy TD's in that game and 1 interception. Yea Edwards had the game in his hands and couldn't throw 1 TD.

Please don't ever compare Romo to Edwards. We all saw on National T.V that Romo can have his worst game ever and still have a better game than Edwards.

i have watched TO for years, this crap about him dividing a locker room is just that - CRAP. these are grown men, if they can't take a verbal ass-whoopin then they are the ones who are the cry babies...  TO catchs  lot of balls and a lot of TD's'.....GO BILLS, GO TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is a good move for Buffalo. Most commentators had Buffalo as NO CHANCE to land him. They may not win but he will put fanny's in the seats and that is saying something. The "Toronto Bills" will be Canada's  first team in the NFL

The Bills haven't had a good year in a decade.  They maybe need something like this to turn them around.  I just hope that it doesn't turn out to be a circus.

And did anyone notice how T.O. said in the press conference where he asked how many times the QB had been sacked.  That is the same thing he was fussing about in Dallas.  Our O line DID NOT protect Romo like they should have.

@ Erik

I agree with you 100 %.  T.O. was not the prob in Dallas.  I am a die hard Cowboys fan but I think releasing him was a mistake.  And it was wrong to blame last season on him alone.    If that's the case, they should have released Romo, the entire O line, and half of the defense.  I want us to make it to the playoffs, but I would not mind the bills winning the Superbowl this year (on a fluke, just like the Giants did).  T.O. deserves to get his ring before he retires.

Go lose four superbowls in a row again.

Did this dork just compare Romo to Edwards. That is funny, no I would be real confidant with T edwards as my QB this year Super Bowl here Buffalo comes. Get real.....

we didnt see many because we dont live in buffalo and they dont get primetime games Jim..not our fault your team sucks..i must say T.O is a great player and i hope he becomes the all time leader receiver. It will be interesting to see T.O go against Randy Moss..but seriously good luck and hope T.O the best he wasnt the problem in Dallas, he was the scapegoat too bad people looked at his record before anything else..Aikman used to scream at his O-Line but that was ok because it was Aikman but as soon as T.O did it..he was at it again..how i hate ESPN

@Jim Sass:  Did they finally decide on a quarterback in Buffalo?

How many Bills games did you watch last year?  Trent Edwards played well for his young career and his completion % was better than Romos'.  The bills run the ball more last year while romo was making more mistakes than edwards.  Edwards is a more accurate passer who knows how to use the pocket to pass and not run from it like T Romo.  Reseach a bit more before you state your opinion, wait a minute, it's only your opinion.  Forget about what I just said.
