Well, it depends on how they measured it. Pat White, the West Virginia quarterback, is apparently impressing scouts at the combine. They are impressed because not only does he have potential to be an NFL quarterback, but he can also play some wide receiver. As the DMN reports here, the wildcat offense became popular this past season. The NFL released today who will play on Thanksgiving this year. The first game will put the Detroit Lions against the Green Bay Packers. Then the Dallas Cowboys will host the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders haven’t played on Turkey Day in 38 years. The final night game will have the New York Giants facing the Denver Broncos.

The Wonderlic Test scores have leaked and it appears the wide receivers are the dumbest of the bunch. Even Michael Crabtree couldn’t score above 18, which is what most teams prefer a wide receiver to score on the 50-question speed test. Georgia’s Matt Stafford comes out looking like a genius. Terence Newman, in an interview with a television station, placed some criticism on the shoulders of quarterback Tony Romo. He implied that Romo’s Hollywood status hurt him this year and that he didn’t think he put enough into his game as he did in the 13-3 season. Julius Peppers continues to push for the Carolina Panthers to trade him, and he’s put two teams on his wishlist: the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots. ESPN has a report about Pepper’s interest in the two teams. This is not breaking news because I reported that Peppers had interest with the Cowboys about a month ago.
