Dan Reeves, who was supposed to come on as a consultant for the Dallas Cowboys, is now letting the cat out of the back in regard to Terrell Owens.
The Dallas Morning News reports that Reeves spoke on several different radio shows about the turmoil at Valley Ranch. Some in the organization want Owens gone, and some don’t.
Reeves came right out and said Owens id a distraction, and then later said the Cowboys would be better off removing all distractions from the team so that players play together instead of for themselves.
It’s a damning revelation about the Owens debacle in Dallas because he now knows that there are some–possibly high up–who don’t want Owens there anymore. Reeves’ comments come just a day after DeMarcus Ware said Owens is not a distraction in the locker room.
“There are certainly some differences of opinion within the people within that organization. So that’s gotta be something that people that are there, that work with him everyday, they’ve gotta make those decisions. From an outsider, I certainly have an opinion. I think the more distractions that you can eliminate and get the team focused on the team and not themselves, then you’ve got a better chance.”
