Ugly Chiefs Fan Site Attacks Jason Witten Again

Posted by: thelandryhat

It never ends with these Kansas City Chiefs fans. After another woeful season that is leading to wholesale firings and changes, the Chiefs fans don’t have much to hang their heads high on this season.

So Kansas City Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez made All Pro, along with the Dallas Cowboys DeMarcus Ware.

Certainly, it is a lofty award Gonzalez can add to his record-breaking stats. He surely is a great tight end, right?

Were his numbers better than Witten’s this year? Yes, they were. Are there variables in the game that would allow such a situation to occur? Yes, there certainly are.

But it doesn’t matter hashing this over again. Gonzalez did not play half the season with a fractured rib, did he? Even the Chiefs didn’t play three games with a lame-duck quarterback. Instead, they had a carousel of quarterbacks, all of whom were able to at least throw the ball in the air.

The five best tight ends begins in Dallas.

I wish the Chiefs fans, these pitiful gremlins, would find something better to do this offseason.

            BallHype: hype it up!

OK..so who gives a sh*t..I mean it is the Chiefs..Tony Gonzales is a good player..I don’t have a problem with him being All-Pro..

Of all the things in this world that are totally irrelevant..The Kansas City Chiefs are at the top of the list..

  2. 2. thelandryhat Says:

Good point. What a garbage franchise

  3. 3. brad Says:

The guy that posted that said ONLY tight end as a first team all pro. Well dumb ass there is only one every year…

  4. 4. pc9165 Says:

I’d say Witten is probably 4th, maybe 3rd best.

  5. 5. thelandryhat Says:

    Ridiculous PC9165

  6. 6. Steve Says:

This is ridiculous. Gonzalez is the better tight end. Why is this still a topic of debate?

  7. 7. Fred Goodwin Says:

I guess I’m missing something here (and I’m a big fan of Witten); but how exactly is a blog post that congratulates Gonzalez supposed to be an “attack” on Witten?

Praise by a fan for a player on his team does not automatically equate to an “attack” on other players at the same position.

  8. 8. danzinski Says:

Gonzalez will never be as good as Witten until he starts having sex with his quarterback.

  9. 9. pc9165 Says:

I was just kidding anyway guy’s.

  10. 10. Fred Sanford Says:

Whitten is one of about a half-dozen tight ends who are relatively equal in ability. Gates (when healthy) is the only one that stands above the crowd IMO.

  11. 11. bevomav Says:

Fred..Stick to the garbage..Witten performed in spite of the injuries..Still made second team..All Pro..

I again have no issues with Tony Gonzales being selected All Pro..

Everyone can have their guy..I will take my guy..Go Cowboys..

  12. 12. thelandryhat Says:

Fred G. did you even read the post on the Chiefs site? It was an attack on Witten and this site. Come on!

  13. 13. Hank Stram Says:

Take it easy on the Chief fans.  They have to wake up every day knowing that Herm Edwards is their coach.

  14. 14. Fred Sanford Says:

Bevomav and landryhat, can either of you explain your most recent posts attacking me? No landryhat, I didn’t read that article because I have no interest in it and because I’m fine with any attack on you.
I simply complimented Jason Whitten, calling him one of the top TEs in the league. I just  think Gates is a better player and I think guys like Gonzalez, Cooley, Winslow and perhaps one or two others are comparable. How is that an insult?

  15. 15. Fred Goodwin Says:

TLH,  yes I read the post, hence my question.

My point stands: praise of Gonzales does not equal an “attack” on Whitten, in my opinion.

If you feel differently, fine.  I just don’t see it that way, and I bet if Whitten read the other blog, he’d probably agree with me.

  16. 16. rolyat Says:

if it wasnt obvious before now, this season definitely proves that tony g is the best tight end ever. no question about it, and witten isnt even 2nd best, a healthy gates is, then witten MIGHT be 3rd.
and by the way, that post wasnt an attack on witten, but it was an attack on this sight.  earlier in the year you guys were saying how much greater witten is that tony g.  look at how wrong you were

  17. 17. davedallasfan Says:

danzinski, you ignorant slut, why don’t you go have sex with your qb, because next year, thats all he’ll be good for. romo may not have won a playoff game, yet, but your boy jackson sure the hell won’t…….better look around alittle before you shoot from your ass, you might just shit on yourself?????

  18. 18. davedallasfan Says:

my question to you chiefs fans is this…..if gonzo is the best te in the league, why did kc try to trade him and not even get a thrid rounder for him. dallas would’nt even consider trading witten, not even for a couple of firsts……assholes

  19. 19. Ian Says:

They are both great tight ends. Too bad Jason Witten plays for such a sorry team.

  20. 20. Chiefs Fan Says:

How Was That An Attack On Whitten? I Think Your Personal Grudge Against Adam Over At Arrowhead Addict Is Masking Your Ability To Think Logically. Whitten Is A Very Good TE And So Is Gonzalez, But To Say One Had A Down Year Because Of An Injury Is Pretty Sad. Gonzalez Had To Go Through 3 QB’s And A 2-14 Season And Still Put Up The Best Numbers In The League. As Far As Chiefs Wanting To Trade Gonzalez, It Was Out Of Respect To Him, Because KC Isn’t Going Anywhere Any Time Soon And His Career Will Be Over Before They Reach Contention Again. They Were Just Trying To Send Him To A Competative Team In Hopes He Can Get A Super Bowl Ring.

  21. 21. Erik Says:

witten plays for a 5 time Super Bowl Champion Team..unlike celek that plays for a team that plays a little better then average but always seems to choke on the big game..you can say romo chokes on big games but no eagles Qb has ever won a superbowl whichs means Every single Eagles QB chokes on the big game so suck on that Ian

  22. 22. Erik Says:

hey dan quick question im a bit confused..since pacman got suspended we get our 4th and 6th round pick back along with their 5th round  pick for dropping him right? pacman recently said he shall be back in dallas soon..did jerry released him just to get another pick in draft, only to sign him again?

  23. 23. Ian Says:

Jason Witten plays for a zero time champion. Those are from the 70s and the 90s. Jason Witten plays on a team full of losers.

  24. 24. thelandryhat Says:

    Erik,
We don’t get anything because Pacman played the entire year.

  25. 25. Robert Says:

I guess the argument here may be over semantics.  Who is a better TE of all time?  Starts with Tony.  Who was a better TE in 2008?  Well, that was Tony too.  Who will be the best TE in 2009?  Okay, it will most likely be tony again, but I am not going to be so ignorant as to make a bold prediction and flame another TE trying to prove what most already know to be true.

  26. 26. Erik Says:

hahahaha  what were the eagles doing during the 70s and 90s? watching the cowboys win superbowls..lol what a waste of a franchise the eagles are no better then detroit lions always watching other team win the big game

  27. 27. T.E.X.A.S Says:

Why does everyone get upset when we bring up our 5 Super Bowls? Who cares if it was the 70’s and 90’s it will always be one franchise. No matter who is playing with this team. I just think its a bunch of crap when someone comes into a Cowboys website to talk your trash. Then your team dont even have a Super Bowl ring. Your franchise has not proven anything. Instead of worring who you are playing this week your more worried about whats going on here. I dont care if the Cowboys have not won a playoff game in awhile we won plenty before. We will when more in the future and who cares. The truth is Eagle fans are just eating this up while they can because they know this is a rare time for them. I hope you finally when a ring because Im sure you are going to seat on it the rest of your franchise, but just remember every time you see our team that they have 5 of those and you have a long way to prove anything to us. Also who said the Redskins have 5 Super Bowls because this site http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/standings/superbowl says you only have 3 and 2 losses. Eagles have only been there twice and lost both times. Dallas has 5 and 3 losses so we have been there a total of 8 times.

  28. 28. Fred Sanford Says:

I said the Redskins have 5 NFL championships. Two of them were won before the first Super Bowl in the mid-1960’s.

  29. 29. davedallasfan Says:

hey fred those two were before the modern frickin forward pass. oh and don’t forget the 73-0 blow out, yeah, unha….people know their history baby…….and as far as kc trying to trade gonzales, i just laughed like hell because they tried to trade him to give him a chance at a super bowl, yes, but they could’nt even get a THIRD ROUND PICK for his old ass, so don’t tell me he’s yhe best te. all that says is he may HAVE BEEN the best, but he ain’t in the present game…..thats proof

  30. 30. davedallasfan Says:

all i say is this. if you owned a football team and you could have any te you wanted to build on who would it be….?????? i bet the majority would take jason witten right now. thats the point he’s the best right now

  31. 31. Ian Says:

The Eagles have two championships as well, but i dont go hyping up that when i lose an argument and have no other response. I was not even talking about the Eagles, I was talking about how Jason Witten is a great tight end, but he plays with a garbage team.

Get your popcorn ready, because the Eagles are going to the NFC Championship game.

  32. 32. Fred Sanford Says:

I get it now davedallasfan. NFL history began the moment the Cowboys won the championship. And it ended the moment they won their last one.

  33. 33. Fred Sanford Says:

And by the way davedallasfan, funny you would have the nerve to mention a blowout after that debacle in Philadelphia in your last game.

  34. 34. Redskins Guy Says:

Of course you’d take Witten because Gonzo has maybe one year left in him and Witten is just entering his prime.  That’s a silly thing to say Dave.  I don’t think anyone is arguing that Witten has more future potential than Gonzo does.  Gonzo is at the very tail end of his career.

The argument is that he was the best tight end THIS SEASON.  Who would you rather have for a playoff game TOMORROW?  I’d rather have a healthy, rested Gonzo than a healthy, rested Witten.  He had a better season?  I don’t see how you can possibly argue that Witten was better this year.

The Cowboys had three games with a crapy quarterback?  Well the Chiefs had SIXTEEN games with a crappy quarterback nobody thought would amount to anything and Gonzo made him look good.

Tony was the best tight end this year.  If you say otherwise you’re a huge homer and you’re deluding yourself (I have no alleigance to the Chiefs, for the record).  Have patience; I’m sure Witten will have his chance to claim the top dog role soon.  It just didn’t happen this year.

You were wrong. Just like you were wrong about winning the superbowl this year too.  Or are you going to try to tell us the Cowboys should have won the Superbowl this year too?  I’d love to hear the twisted logic you’d have to use to rationalize THAT delusion.

  35. 35. Erik Says:

Gonzo had better number because there was nobody else but him to get the ball at KC..lets face it if we had no t.o and no roy williams witten would have better stats then gonzo..and ian you dont bring up your 2 championships because you know everyone would laugh at you for even mentioning it..lets see 5 superbowls agaisnt 2 nfc championships..uhmm wonder which franchise is better..hahahaha

  36. 36. Ian Says:

No Erik, not nfc championships. NFL Championships. Actually it is 3 though. 48, 49, and 60. It did happen, they do count, and yes it was a long time ago. Guess what though? The Cowboys Championships are not exactly recent history. Since Jimmy Johnson left Dallas has basically been pathetic. They got decent again for a brief period thanks to Bill Parcells, but now they suck again. Dallas got all the hype this off season, and yet they are at home fishing, while the Eagles have a real shot at getting a 4th Championship.

  37. 37. T.E.X.A.S Says:

Wow there where 10 teams in the NFL in 48 and 49 in 1960 there where 13 teams in the NFL. Back then the NFL Championship was like the NFC Championship. It was not really a Superbowl or anything like it. I might be wrong but I dont think you even played against the AFL teams in the Championship. In 1960 there were 8 AFL teams but Im not sure if NFL played against AFL. So since 1966 you have not won a Super Bowl maybe some Championships but not the big game.

  38. 38. T.E.X.A.S Says:

Everyone keeps saying Romo cant when a big game. Why dont they ask why Mcnabb cant when the Superbowl. Troy Aikman won it 3 times. Im not the one to really brag but when it comes down to it the better FRANCHISE (not year) is the Cowboys. Wow you had a good end of the season great. Last year you had a crappy season. Next year you might have another crappy season. What you really need to ask yourself is what Mcnabb will eat before he plays in the big game.

  39. 39. brad Says:

Ian is up at 4:42 in the morning trying to annoy people . congratulations on being a TOTAL loser . Wow what a dork…

  40. 40. davedallasfan Says:

all i’m going to say about witten is this. he is the te i would take period. gonzo had a better year because romo was hurt and witten was hurt off anf on thru much of the season. he played thru his injuries. he gritted it out and delivered.for that effort i still think witten is the best te today and this season. and i’m not a homer on witten. i like gonzales. i like gates. i like cooley. i think all three of these guys maybe the most valuable receivers on their teams, they are that good. stat wise gonzo may have had the better year, but what did that mean to the chiefs? shit….but if you take witten out of our offense it WOULD mean something. so if i were in a playoff game today and had to choose witten or gonzo as my te in that game? you damn right i’d take witten. because i know what i’m gonna get. call me a homer if you will, but in my mind, id have the better te for that game. and no we should’nt have won the super bowl this year because our talent did’nt live up to the expectations. but last year we should have. we were 13-3 during the regular season, and talent wise we should not have been beat, but history will always show that the giants took us out. that still does’nt take the fact away that our talent level was that of a champion last year. 13-3 don’t lie and does’nt have to be rationalized in any way

  41. 41. davedallasfan Says:

oh and fred, lets try to keep things in perspective. the 73-0 whipping that the bears put on the redskins was for the nfl championship of i beleive, the  year 1940. sammy baugh was the qb, the founding father of the modern forward pass in the nfl. so thats why i made that comment. i don’t think the bears even had to throw a pass in the game? that was a different era, fred. that was my point.  and as far as history rising and setting on the cowboys, no not at all. i’m more of a fan of the game itself than just the cowboys. i have a mind. and i love history. and for the record the dallas cowboys have been in 8 superbowls. we are 5-3 in the big game. and the three we lost by a TOTAL of 11 points. thats right 11 points in 3 total championships. we also lost 5 nfc championship games. so had we won those five, we would bee talking very differently about the dallas cowboys and their place in history. the trophy would probably been named the tom landry trophy? so whats your point. the redskins certainly have a longer history than the cowboys, they were like one of the charter teams in the modern nfl. but based on percentage, have they been more successful?

  42. 42. davedallasfan Says:

the bears beat the redskins 73-0 in the worst defeat in nfl history. that is a fact. that is history. that is undisputed. so what is your point of us losing a playoff game 44-6 to the eagles? how does this even compare to what i just said, and factuated for you?????????????????????????

  43. 43. Fred Sanford Says:

I was just amused that you brought up that 1940-something 73-0 game after your team full of supposed Pro Bowlers had been humiliated by the Eagles, who  just one week earlier lost  to the lowly Redskins.
The fact is, all your championship trophies are starting to get a lot of dust on them. Staubach, Lilly Aikman, Emmitt and the rest are gone, and all that’s left is this disgrace of a team that probably has the great Tom Landry turning over in his grave.

  44. 44. davedallasfan Says:

what we had last year was a 13-3 team. not a disgrace by any means. we just had a young qb that tried to do to much and rolled snake eyes in the playoffs. we did’nt meet expectations. this year we had our young qb break a finger on his throwing hand and missed 4 games and was ineffective in maybe 4 more. so again we did’nt meet expectations. how by any way shape or form is this a DISGRACE?????????? we had a winning season and just missed the playoffs. romo will only be starting his 3rd nfl season. this is when he should be coming into his maturity. you guys act like he should be peyton manning already? give him his do time to mature, and time to learn from all those bad mistakes he’s made. i’ll guarentee you all, and you to fred, that romo will learn a hell of a lot more from those mistakes, than any success he’s already had. the memory and sting from those mistakes will stay forever, thus producing a mature qb in the end

  45. 45. Ian Says:

Why does it matter that there were less teams? That just means the talent pool was not spread as thin as it is today, and every team was loaded with great players. That does not make it any easier to win a Championship.

  46. 46. theMBIIIeffect Says:

Waaaaaaaah my personal opinion is more valid than your personal opinion waaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Jason Witten is an outstanding tight end. Tony Gonzales is also an outstanding tight end. Who is better than who is a matter of personal opinion. You can make the stats say what you want. Injuries don’t matter. I’d take either, and making a pick between the two in the prime of their career would be a tough decision for anyone who wasn’t biased. If both of them aren’t in your top five tight ends in the NFL, you’re either biased or ignorant.

Both of them are obviously better than Chris Cooley, though.

  47. 47. T.E.X.A.S Says:

There where 10 teams back then when the NFL was not known as much as it is now. The reason it matter is because there is 32 teams that have a chance at the Super Bowl now. Teams are not that easy either every football team has great players just depends how they are coached. I mean in 49 the NFL had two 1,000 rushers in a season for the first time. How many players do that every year now. Football was completely different from back then. You could get away with more crap. Hell they barely had the right equipment back then. Players now play at a higher caliber than they did back then and that is because they were just starting. The NFL does not count these Championships anyways so why bring them up. Look at the stats of the Superbowls. Its going to say the same thing it said before Dallas 5 wins 3 losses, Eagles 0 wins 2 losses not 3 wins 2 losses.

  48. 48. T.E.X.A.S Says:

I just love how you all come in here to hate on us for being Cowboys fans. Its just typical you have been jealous of us since we started. Since they decided to name us America’s Team. It just get so damn funny that every team almost in the NFL decides to hate Dallas. I never hear people talking crap to any other team. I mean if I say Im a Cowboys fan to anyone that is not in my state or just likes some other team. They will say I hate them Cowboys. When will you move on it dont even bother me anymore just the stupid crap you say makes me laugh. When we lose we lose, yeah it pisses me off during the game but I move on because I know it wont always be like that. Unlike for you Eagles I know it pisses you off constantly because its always like that. I hope someday you when a SuperBowl so maybe you will stop hating us for having the 5 we have now.

  49. 49. brad Says:

Fred sanford and son the Redskins are the laughing stock every year. Why doesnt your owner go buy something else he really cares about . That yahoo doesnt know the first thing about football. when was the last time the Redskins did ANYTHING? So shutup and go away.

  50. 50. Fred Sanford Says:

Well Brad, they haven’t done much but they have won a playoff game this decade, as has every other NFC East team except you-know-who!
