Terrell Owens Fighting With Cris Carter

Terrell Owens launched his blogging career today at Yardbarker. Of course, he opens with controversy, although his comments are tone down quite a bit.

If you missed it, Cris Carter, the former wide receiver and now a football analyst, said on ESPN that he’d like to see Owens shot in front of a horde of media. The comment never gained steam because it was a non-player who said it, and ESPN would never sensationalize something one of their own employees said.

So, the comment got to Terrell Owens and he contacted Yardbarker to start his own official blog on a site gaining attention for its cache of pro sports bloggers.

Owens reply to Carter?

Hey Yardbarker… This is T.O. and I want to tell you this myself. People ask me what I thought about what Cris Carter said about me a few days ago. All I know is, if I’d been the one who had said that about him, what would everyone have thought?

So Ian, if someone were to go on the radio and say they wouldn't mind seeing you shot firing-squad style, you'd keep your mouth shut?

yeah, if i remember right someone called him a "cancer"?

As much as I dislike TO and enjoy seeing him slandered, Cris Carter is probably not the one who should be doing it. If memory serves me correctly, he had some issues of his own back in the day.

TO needs to learn to take the high road sometimes. Stop worrying about what was said about you in the media, and start worrying about helping your team win a big game.

Fu*k Chris Carter..the horse he came in on and the one he will leave on...and a special shout out to ESPN..Fu*k them also..

I like Jamie Dukes' idea for Jerry to just buy out all the media coverage of the cowboys or give someone exclusive rights so this crap can stop.  Chris Carter should be fired since he actually said it on two different radio shows, but since espn are the ones who always shovel these stories down peoples throats, its unlikely this will get enough attention to get him booted.  I'm not positive, but didn't he say something a while back that was controversial? Either way, I think TO handled it pretty well and as for Chris...you better hope this doesn't effect those HOF voters, or your in store for another disappointment.

ESPN probaly just said all that to get T.O. to fire back at them so they have a new story to write about. ESPN just blows they need to find something to new to write about and leave us the hell alone.

For the first time in a long time, I agree with TO, as much as it pains me to say it.  He is right on about the uproar that would have resulted had the roles been reversed.

Those comments were beneath Cris Carter.
