Dallas Cowboys Fire Assistant, But Who Is Next?

The Dallas Cowboys fired special teams coach Bruce Read after a dismal year for the pre-season Super Bowl favorites.

The Cowboys special teams were ranked near the bottom of the pack in both kick-off and punt coverages.

ESPN reported the Cowboys are talking to veteran special teams coach Joe DeCamillis, who used to work with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The firing of Read may not be the only one. The Cowboys might also fire defensive coordinator Brian Stewart, whose play-calling responsibilities were taken away midseason.

Yep, Martz would make sure Brad Johnson played 12 games next year.

Mike Martz will get Tony Romo killed........

l hat what do you think about martz? he is availiable. with our recievers and qb , it would be like the rams?

Yes remember when  Dom Capers was available..Brian Stewart didn't feel comfortable with him here..so we were stuck with him..Now we know why..he sucks..
Every assistant Wade brought in are dead enders..They should all be fired..and Wade "I will change" Phillips with them..

I've been in denial about Jerry actually bringing Wade back next year... I guess if they announce a replacement for Bruce Reed that seals the deal of Wade's return.  You don't start hiring assistants then go out looking for a new HC.

I agree Nate. Good point.

They should hire a defensive assistant and tack on defensive cordinator to Wade's job title if they are indeed keeping him aboard. No sense in having some other hack come in and screw up the only thing that was going right the last part of the season. Fire Stewart and hire an assistant for Wade. Nuff said.
