Some prominent Dallas Cowboys players are stile sore over the media frenzy this month regarding all of the comotion, or alleged commotion, in the locker room.
Chemistry is shattered. Some players are nasty to other players. After another disappointing ending to the season, some have just about had it with the losing at the worst times.
As the Star-Telegram reports today, Terence Newman said there is no accountability.
“It is like the problem when you had the anonymous player saying all that stuff,” he said. “They are a coward, you know, and that kind of stuff ruined this season.”
I’m not sure the “coward” ruined this season, though. The Cowboys were losing to bad teams well before the locker room fiasco. The Cowboys lost badly to the St. Louis Rams and New York Giants, and lost a game to the Washington Redskins that was really the game that sent this team into a roller coaster of mediocrity. I’m not sure blaming the locker room tattle-tale is the best way to move forward, and it certainly fuels the media because now they know their plot worked.
