Bradie James Fights Fan, Then Gives Him Wrapped Gift

Bradie James apparently attacked a fan today. The unnamed fan was at the Cowboys facility today with a sign that said the Dallas Cowboys team has no heart and that Wade Phillips is a disgrace to the Cowboys star.

The hyperbolic sign may have been out of hand, but it was someone exercising their free speech rights against a team that plans to out charge middle-class families from seeing them live at the new stadium. Plus, the Cowboys sure did lack heart and intensity last night against the Eagles.

The Forth-Worth Star Telegram broke the story and ESPN followed it up with this article that has James explaining what happened.

James approached the fan and tore up the sign and while doing that he broke the man’s sunglasses. James returned to his locker and grabbed a pair of expensive sunglasses he got as a gift and gave them to the fan.

“He was like, ‘Why you guys didn’t have that fire last night!’ You should’ve showed that much heart last night!’ So the next thing you know I’m just ripping that sign off of him,” James said. “So I went and gift-wrapped some Oakleys, and he got something out of the deal. I told him, ‘I share your frustrations. But where we differ is I wouldn’t go to anybody’s job, especially not up here with 300-pound guys, trying to tell them what they didn’t do right.”

Other Cowboys to address the media were Zach Thomas, who backtracked from what he said Sunday that he likely played his last game for the Cowboys. The old man, who really isn’t fit for the 3-4 defense, didn’t make a huge impact for the Cowboys. Now, he’s unsure what he is going to do.

“I’m going to weigh my options,” he said. “I’m healthy and I feel like I still got a lot of fuel left in this tank.”
