ESPN Turns Negativity Toward Redskins

After the Dallas Cowboys embarrassed the Dallas media and ESPN, who wrote story after story of alleged drama in the Cowboys lockeroom, by defeating the NFC’s best New York Giants, the four-letter-word network has turned a new page.

Now, they are going after the Washington Redskins. Well, sort of. Of course, the Associated Press wrote the story, and ESPN is only plastering it on its front page, but you can read it here.

It seems Jim Zorn is questioning himself after his team has lost five of the last six games, including the fun-to-watch fallout in Cincinnati this week.

There’s not a peep about the Cowboys lockeroom or any corrections in any of the newspaper or ESPN after the Cowboys dismantled the Giants. Go figure. That lockeroom drama was so devastating!

landryhat, and you guys think about this? i don't think i'm to far off the mark here. are any of you guys seeing this too?????

oh man is this so obvilious or what? i've been listening to espn for some kind of saying they were wrong about the attack on the cowboys, but NO. now they attack washington? ok guys think about it. the best way to get revenge on the cowboys is to have them knocked out of the playoffs. they must feel that baltimore is'nt going to get that done cause i've heard little so far as to that. AND they think termoil in wash will not beat philly.... but i'm already hearing as most of you gotta be too. they are already hyping up the owens return to philly and dallas getting ousted by them. they are all on the philly band wagon saying that philly is the "best" team in the nfc now? jamal anderson called skip bayless an idiot(bayless said philly is the best--espn?) and said right now he thought carolina was the most complete team, with exception to delhomme at qb. he said he thought that everything would now go thru carolina for the crown. he's right. but our buddy skip is playing the philly trump card and hoping that will give espn new fuel for their hatred of owens. look at it for what it is. the press is trying to tear OUR team apart guys. don't fall for it. they are setting us fans up. i don't care what you hear, just know what you saw on the field sunday nite. you saw guys playing as a team. give these guys your support, even owens. HE'S ON OUR SIDE. it's us against espn. as stupid as that sounds, yes they are trying to destroy the cowboys from with in. we will prevail, just lets back these guys as the best fans in the league and show espn, the nfl, and our team, we are the dallas cowboy FANS

I predicted them to lose three of their last games but not the Bengals I pick the niners to be the ones.

The redskins wont finish 4-12 like i predicted but I still be could right if they finish in the cellar :D

Sounds like the front office of the Detroit Lions.

The media is hardly alone in its negativity toward the Redskins. Many Redskin fans are tired of seeing the other teams in the division come up with quality pash rushers like Ware, Tuck, etc. while none of our pass rushes could pick out a QB in a lineup.
So what does our crack front office do? Continually throw money and draft picks at WRs while the key components of any team, the lines, deteriorate.  And our WRs still suck.

Though I appreciate the sentiment, I'm not sure this really qualifies as negative sensationalism. The Redskins made this a news story in the first place by losing to the 1-11-1 Bengals.  Frankly it's nice to see Zorn take a little responsbility and admit that maybe some things need to change rather than point fingers at players. Not that the players didn't suck too, but it's obvious that they're not the only thing that's at fault here.

Is it april yet?

Why does ESPN have nothing on T.O. and the Cowboys today??? =)

I have a hard time making up my mind about the T.O.'s boos so maybe some of all can decide. Was it good to see all the fans sticking up for Witten as part of the team even though it was blown out of wack or bad for not sticking up for T.O. being a member of the team. I feel more like we have to stick up for T.O. just because he is a cowboy and part of this team. Lets hope this is all solved which I belive it is.

The media are all 10 year olds with a short attention span..time for them to slime on to another topic..Go Cowboys..
