Marion Barber and DeMarcus Ware were held from practicing today, likely just a precautionary measure.
The MRIs for Barber’s dislocated pinkie toe and Ware’s hyper-extended knee showed no damage. Both are expected to play Sunday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to this report, Barber does not plan to wear any special shoe, but he may have a metal plate in his show. That doesn’t sound great or comfortable for a runner and I am sure it will have some effect on the game. But, just keep in mind, no one has really been able to run the ball against the NFL’s best pass defense. Not even the New York Giants, who lead the NFL in rushing, were able to penetrate holes in the Steelers defense.
