Marion Barber Dislocates Toe
What is it with pinkies and the Dallas Cowboys?
Marion Barber dislocated his pinkie toe in the win over the Seattle Seahawks tonight, according to owner Jerry Jones. Jones did not speculate if Barber could play next Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.
This is not a major injury, but it could hamper Barber’s running style. If for some reason he cannot go, rookie Tashard Choice takes all the carries. There’s really no one else!
Although he scored a touchdown, Barber was unable to gain much yardage on the ground today, even before he sustained the toe injury. But defenses focus on him in the backfield, and it allows for holes to open in the passing game, which has helped Tony Romo thrive.
According to all research I did on dislocated toes, Barber should be able to play. Why?
Because I am sure it is still fresh in our memories watching Emmitt Smith play two quarters against the New York Giants with a separated shoulder. Yeah, a dislocated pinkie toe is NOTHING!

I remember to well Emmitt goin off against the Giants. Actually nfl net did a show on injured players in games today and I recordered it with the tivo junx. Oh shit If we lose Marion we have no chance.

November 28th, 2008 at 1:23 amDoes anyone know what is the deal with T.O. interviews. I dont know if its a certain reporter he does not like or certain questions. Im sure everyone has seen it where he says next question before they are even done with the question. I think it is a certain reporter though.
November 28th, 2008 at 9:55 amLOL @ Redskins Guy.
T.E.X.A.S, apparently that reporter is Ed Werder from ESPN. Serves him right, though.
November 28th, 2008 at 11:40 amChoice reminds me a little of E Smith. What seemed like “overskill” in signing two RB’s has turned into a blessing. We need to sign someone soon!
November 28th, 2008 at 4:40 pmS Alexander??
Staubach in Choices interview after the game he said that Emmitt was who he looked up to growing up and really studied the way he ran the ball. So that could be why he reminds you of him. Choice has alot of heart you can tell by the way he wants to help the team even if its special teams.
November 28th, 2008 at 5:23 pmHi Texas! I did not know that! Cool
He seems to be able to find the holes and runs low to the ground and tough. And also lacks top speed so makes the best of what he has. I appreciate you telling me that.
November 28th, 2008 at 5:30 pmyeah, he wore #22 in college, but settled for 23 when he came to dallas ofcorse. he said it was a dream come true to be drafted by the cowboys since he followed them since he was a kid. i think he’ll be a good back for us long term, even as important as felix, because he’s the direct backup to barber and felix is more of a change of pace guy. choice is a hell of a back in his own right, leading the SEC in rushing 2 tears in a row??? not bad….
November 28th, 2008 at 10:11 pmHey Dave! What a great 4th round pickup!! With the way these guys run we will need the depth. I am surprised we have not heard anything about Dallas picking up another RB. Troy mentioned S Alexander but I wonder if he has anything left
