Dallas Cowboys sign cornerback/safety

The Dallas Cowboys signed Tra Battle from the practice squad of the San Diego Chargers, and officials indicate he might play tomorrow against the Seattle Seahawks.

Battle doesn’t have any spectacular numbers, but he can play safety and cornerback, two positions the Cowboys have had problems with this year. The signing may also indicate that the injury to cornerback Mike Jenkins is worse than originally thought. Jenkins has a bad hamstring and will not play tomorrow.

You can read more about the signing here.

The last guy Wade brought in, Polk, played a huge hand in getting the momentum rolling in the SanFran game.  Lets hope Battle can battle for us on the kick coverage units!!

The new stiffarm rule certanly has limited MBIII a bit.  I also think being the starter has to slow his style a bit.  There's just no way a guy can keep that kind of intensity up for 15-15 carries.

Ok Landryhat have two questions for you. First one, if Miles Austin is a great speed receiver that has helped out by making huge plays. Why not throw Stanback in Miles Austins place while he is injured.I know he has a shoulder injury and everything, but the guy is returning kicks it dont get much worse than that. Second question, what is with Marion Barber this year. I know he is still a good back something just seems different this year. Like he dont try as hard sometimes dont fight so much. Does it have something to do with advice he has received from players like Emmitt about not wasting his energy so much. It just seems like to me something has changed a little bit. I hope he is still the same back as last year. I also noticed it might be due to everyone going for his legs more often.

TEXAS, he will play special teams. I didn't mean to say he would start at safety or corner. My Bad

I thought he played special teams also. Just seems like thats were he is going to fit in.
