Terrell Owens wearing a Philadelphia Eagles shirt? Deion Sanders wearing a really loud sweater? Armageddon?
This video has been passed around the Internet. I heard about it and wanted to really see Owens wearing an Eagles shirt. He is. Ugh.
“When I get my hands on the ball, things happen. I can’t throw it and catch it. It’s not that I can’t play. It’s the system of which I’m in.”
So, Terrell, what happens when you don’t catch the ball? You know, how you led the league last year in dropped passes? Some of those drops were pretty important balls to catch. Just wondering, Mr. Me. Just curious. I have no doubts some of the playcalling is the reason he’s not running away with it all the time, but there was one game where the Cowboys gave him the ball 21 times and he did squat with it.
I personally don’t appreciate seeing him in a green shirt. Period. I have no idea why Owens is not scoring and getting 100 yards a game, like Deion points out, but I do know the Cowboys won last week.
Apparently, “it gets a lot better than that,” this Sunday when the rest of the interview airs. Great.
Dallas Morning News is right here, Owens couldn’t have launched his attack at a worse time. Did the Cowboys lose last week or am I missing something?

Isn’t TO great? I sure do miss his crazy antics. I think the “Eagle” shirt is to remind him of the time when he had a quarterback who could win a playoff game. I can’t wait for the rest of the interview…
I suspend him for a game..and if he doesn’t like it..send his ass home..I am done with the a**hole..Plus saying this crap after a big win and wearing a Eagles jersey..
I have always been a supporter of his..not anymore..he is dead to me..f**k him..
Ian shut the fuck up. With all of McNabb’s success he still couldn’t win a super bowl, so keep hanging on to those playoff victories that brought you three straight nfc championship losses. Oh wow, you went to the super bowl and lost! What an accomplishment!
Yeah watching this video this morning he really let me down. I mean they are getting the ball to him he just drops it or just plain dont get open. Im sorry but he thinks its the coaches or the team that the reason he is not improving thats sad. Also I noticed how he said something like the team only does good when he gets the ball… that sounds like someone that dont belong on the team maybe he is the distraction. Romo, Barber, Newman, Austin, all who prove that they are more important than T.O. he needs to get over himself.
All I can say is good thing we picked up Roy cause T.O. is getting closer to blowing up. Unless he figures it out that the whole problem is him. Im glad I sold my T.O. jersey.
Not sure what the big deal is with the green shirt, its not an Eagles team shirt. It looks exactly like a green American Eagle sweater that I have, its here: http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?catId=cat380163&productId=1182_3492
Good eye Andrew I didnt care about the shirt just the way he talked down to the team.
I did not take it negatively as some as it is just typical TO saying the same narcissistic stuff he usually says. But the truth is he is not getting separation, and dropping passes when he is open. They have had games when they were trying to FORCE the pass to him and all it does is ruin the offensive flow. You cannot change the offense to suit one man over a gameplan.
Anyone surprised by this needs to slap themselves in the face…… or dunk their head in some ice cold water…. or maybe a quick pinch on the arm.
Come on people this is what TO is. It doesn’t matter if it’s his fault or not, if he’s not producing he is pouting.
he is a superstar and as such he wants to have the gameball..and we all know how happens when t.o gets the ball..the gets things moving for barber and everyone else..he wants to win he wants to prove he still has it, theres nothing wrong with that. Shit i much rather want a guy who wants the ball when someone who runs away from it. T.o is T.o you either love him or hate him theres no in between and once we get the ball on his hands everyone will be once again glad with t.o is just the way t.o is. He is not sayin anything we havent already heard from everyone else. Portis came out after the giants defeat saying that his team cant block for him..what happen then? he started producing 100 yd games week in and out. I think t.o is tryin to get everyone involved thats all, like he said he cant do it all.
T.O. is not going to be happy until he becomes a deep ball, homerun threat again, and it shouldn’t be far away. Tony is getting there, but I am like you Staubach, I haven’t seen enough in this interview to really rattle me like I guess it has done some people. It is just T.O. being the same T.O. By the way, when was this interview? I know it was aired Thursday at halftime during the Pittsburgh and Cincy game, but was it possibly done before the Washington game? If so, I can really understand his frustration having to run all those come back routes to Brad and Brooks who couldn’t get it there anyway. He’ll be alright. I just wish he would just keep wearing out his old line of “Getcha popcorn ready.” instead of this new one of “Gotta get me the ball”. Hell I’d rather hear “That’s my quartaback” at the end of every game over this crap, but I don’t expect any less than what he is doing right now. This is T.O. and Jerry knew how he was before he brought him here. As Jerry says, “He’s a competitor.” You notice he rarely mentions T.O. as a team player, but rather “He’s a competitor.” He is competing for balls. I guess he just can’t get enough of those balls he’s been talkin about.
When he said he cant throw the ball too thats is basically saying crap towards Romo. Im sorry but he just needs to shut up and get open. Staubach your extacly right like I said last week the offense tried to hard to get the ball to T.O. and we sucked. Second half they didnt bother throwing to him so much and we did better. I am starting to think he is maybe becoming a distraction. We havent even seen the rest of the interview now it has me a little worried what else he said.
I don’t know when the interview was filmed, but he had some nerve taking shots at Romo’s ability to get him the ball when TO cost the Cowboys a critical interception when Romo DID get the ball to him.
I *GUESS* that he’s right. Bouncing the ball way up into the air and allowing a Redskins player to get an easy interception IS in fact making something happen. But I’m not sure he’s helping his case. If I were a cowboys fan I’d check my back for knife wounds, as you guys just got stabbed in the back. I’m not surprised or anything, but you’re kidding yourself if you think this interview is anything less than an attack against the Cowboys.
Eric..Superstar..Not in a long time..He hasn’t had a 100 yd game since last season..Just taking up space and drawing a check..Off season..gone..bring in a speed burner..who can stretch the defense..
Good catch, Andrew. It is that shirt it appears. Just a coincedence I guess. Still, the interview is pretty unfortunate. I don;t know why he is doing it.
I’m a bit disappointed with TO for saying this publicly. I know this is not his first time, he is always bluntly honest with his dissatisfaction but voice it out behind closed doors. This is a crucial period for the Cowboys so don’t feed the media with anything which they can blow out of proportion.
Jessica’s fan, the media tricks you into believing things are bigger than they are. Most of the time they create the circus. However, Owens should have learned his lesson. He should stay quiet the rest of his career and never say a word, so dbags like Ian won’t be able to point out every seemingly controversial statement Owens makes. But we are dealing with a degenerate, retarded Eagles fan who roots for career ending injuries.
I don’t care if that shirt is technically not an Eagles t-shirt. That’s no coincidence.
Oh well. We all know T.O. has a big mouth. These comments are hardly a surprise. Wait until he has another good game (probably today) and this’ll all turn around.
Ahem.. and just like that, this interview is no longer worth discussing. He was just frustrated because of his stats the past few games. All is well with his 100+ yard performance today.
Nice call Andrew.
Hi, Ian. Terrell Owens had quite a big day. You’re so hypnotized by his words that you missed out on a great performance. It’s too bad you took Deion’s bait.
Ha! And that super awesome quarterback you’re taking about? I read he was benched today? Can you confirm that?
yeah i told inside the iggles it’s klober time. good bye mcnabb, hello klob. oh yeah, and did’nt klob just look great. tough be an eagle fan ain’t it?????
bevomav, T.O is a superstar i hope he remind you of who t.o is today…HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS?!!?!?
Eric..I just wished he had as much class as he has talent..Unfortunately that is not the case..It is good he was interviewed by Deon..another self promoting me first mercenary…Between the two there is all the gifts that can be bestowed..and none of the humility…
I am embarrassed by TO actions..Calling out his coaches after the biggest win of the year..Once again I will celebrate his success..and look forward to the day he is gone..
