DeAngelo Hall Is Free And Dallas Cowboys Should Snag Him

Mike Jenkins will be a good corner we cant expect much out of him so soon. I dont like how he backs away from contact sometimes. You cant forget on one of his games when they threw a deep ball to a receiver which looked like it would have been caught and ran for a TD. Well Jenkins long arms aloud him to jump up and knock it down. He has talent just needs experience and who is better than Newman and Pacman to give it to him. I hope we keep Pacman also he still has alot of talent and he is rusty. Scandrick has turned out to be a steal in the draft great player.

Dont ever say a bad word about terence newman ..he is one of the best corners in the league ..see giant game ...i am not crazy about henrys play this year and it seems Jenkins was no great pick....I think we should keep Pac next year AND PLEASE LET HIM RUN back kickoffs ASAP  ..did you see his last KO return sat. against ravens ...speed !!!!!!  well at  least Jaques REEves is gone ..he was the worst corner we ever had!AND Garrett throw on first down now and then against Philly

hello everyone i been a fan of this site for a few months, the first thing when i come to work is pull up the site i like the blogs, plus i been a diehard fan since i was 10.  i'm 28 going on 29 after thanksgiving, plus dallas always delivers a present on turkey-day for me.lol. but i enjoy reading what, you fans have to say. thanks and hope we can go  game by game at a time and not look anyone.

hall is going so sign with the redskins on a 1yr deal, that's just great, may be we can show him a warm welcome when roy or t.o. burns him.  lol. 

Well, its official that Hall signed with the Redskins.  Isn't that great !  Well, we'll get to see first hand before anyone else will if it was a good move for someone to pick him up or not.  If he gets burned several times for big plays, then the Cowboys will look good for never showing interest, but if he has a pick and shuts down whoever he is covering, then Jerry Jones will look like an idiot...

Henry would probably be great at safety. Why not move him there and cut the lowest performing safety? Sign Hall (he's now an unrestricted free agent), and start him opposite Newman. Getting Pac back is no guarantee. But I think if he wants to come here, Jerry should sign him real cheap. He got a lot of dough in Oakland.

I just think Hall is better than Henry. Henry never panned out in my opinion.

Why cut Anthony Henry?  He has played solid while here in Dallas.  Yeah he has been burnt a few times but who on this team hasnt?  As far as picking up Hall...well if we do pick him up Pacman has got to go.  It will take a couple weeks for Hall to pick up the Defense anyway now that the corners have been blitzing a bit more now that Wade has been calling plays.  I have mixed feelings about bringing this guy on board.

I thought he gave up the 16 million dollar injury clause maybe I read wrong.

IN reference to the 500,000$ base pay, Hall also has a 16 million dollar injury clause this year. If he goes down that will be a HUGE hit to your cap. And like Bandit says, this guy is best in zone coverage. He gets beat all the tim in man-to-man. I know the Redskins wont want him anymore.

and though i am against getting him, i agree with L hat. you cant go by his stats in Oakland, because Oakland is where players go to die. Look what Moss did when he left Oakland...

I will say this.... If Jerry Jones picks this guy up, that pretty much kisses Adam Jones goodbye.

even though i am 100 % against picking up Hall, i think he is a bad seed. If it came down to cutting Brad Johnson, i would do it !!!!! just to get rid of that waste of roster space.

CRBAndit, welcome. You are right about the Cowboys playing zone because apparently our corners have problems covering man to man as well. But we;'ve seen the zone look real iffy at times with the 10-yard cushions we give receivers. Hall seemed to be in good mental state playing for a circus in Oakland.

Hall was having problems with the system Oakland uses(mostly man coverage). He still has 3 picks this year. That's more than any CB in dallas right now. Dallas plays a zone coverage more than man. I think if Hall could grow up  a little, then he would be pretty good in Dallas.

Shanard, welcome to the landry hat. I seriously think the Cowboys should consider dumping Anthony Henry. He's awful. As for the stats from number_9, that's fine. Who would want to play for the Raiders anyway?

i say you pick up hall, move henry to safety because in the long run you never know what's gonna happen so they should take a chance he's cheap. plus no one wants to tackle on defense (jenkins) what if he does it again, even though hall was exsposed he a good corner plus he's a threat when he plays zone that's what he excelled in at atlanta.

I just dug up this stat. In his eight games in Oakland Hall was beaten 40 times for 552 yards on 66 passes thrown his way according to data compiled by STATS LLC. He gave up more yards than any defender this season and was tied for third worst in catches allowed.

Cutting Henry for Hall is the Dumbest thing iv read since iv been on this site. Im all for going out and trying to get this guy but why not cut allan ball not our starting CB in Henry who I think has played solid since he's come to dallas.

i agree with you TLH he has a week and half to learn the defense..and henry can take a shot at safety..henry has been gettin beat everyweek..if pacman comes back think about it..Newman Pacman Hall Jenkins Scandrick (i think he has been doing a great job btw) and Ball, I know some of you guys think this is going to be over-rated but this is still our season, do you really think T.O is going xcellent next year? he is getting old, if anything JJ only loses a couple of bucks but if it works thn we get a pro-bowl conerback, and about the whole T.O spittin on Hall's face may i remind you that T.O celebrating in the star, Roy Williams injures T.O wt a horse collar, and none of thos things have caused problems to the team we could use all the help we can get in the secondary

Funny thing is, if we claim him, we only have to pay him the remainder of his base for this year which will only be $500,000. If it doesn't work out, we can cut him at the end of the year and there will be no cap penalty because his bonus money was paid by the Raiders and the cap hit is against them

Probowl corner for half a season for $500,000, and because our record sucks, our waiver claim goes ahead of everybody with a better record than us, eagles,giants,shins,patriots, etc.

If it works out, maybe we re-sign him at the end of the year

I'm 100% with u ironman...too many divas on this team already and adding that douche to this team  would just make it worse...perhaps u forgot that T.O. spit in his face as well...that should work out great LOL...it's a horrible idea especially at the thought of letting henry go when there is a good chance we can move him to safety next yr...unless u wanna keep horse collar williams back there next yr  landry

Cut Henry? I am 100% against this move. We don't need another OVER PAID pre-Madana on this DIVA football team guys. I wouldn't touch Hall with a 65 foot pole!
