Jon Kitna, Roy Williams To Dallas Cowboys? UPDATED

A report here speculates that the Detroit Lions may trade quarterback Jon Kitna and Roy Williams to the Dallas Cowboys for who the hell knows.

Now, the rumor is not based on any sources or real solid information, but is based on the vagueness of Coach Steve Marinelli and the fact that Kitna was not with the team yesterday.

“A strange energy swirling around at Allen Park” is how it was described. Stange indeed.

We know the Cowboys have considered Roy Williams, but a trade for Jon Kitna does not make a whole lot of sense. Or maybe it does. Kitna should not be a starting quarterback, but he would be a great backup, better than Brad Johnson, for sure.

Discuss this one among yourselves.

Here is another report about the rumor.

ESPN says here that Kitna is on injured reserve and WILL not be traded. Looks like Roy Williams is all the Cowboys may get.
