The Good Roy Williams Coming To Dallas Cowboys?

The Detroit Lions are officially taking offers for wide receiver Roy Williams, who is in his final rookie year contract with the Lions. The Lions are having a horrible season, and they just benched their quarterback Jon Kitna during a 34-7 disaster against the Chicago Bears

NFL Network’s Adam Schefter mentioned before that he Lions offered Williams for DeMarcus Ware, an offer Jerry Jones obviously shunned.

I am sure Jerry Jones is on the phone trying to get Williams. The trade deadline is a few weeks away, so this could get real interesting.

The Cowboys would be more than willing to trade Patrick Crayton, Sam Hurd and a 3rd round pick to the Lions for Roy Williams!

i would definetly give up a 2nd round pick for roy williams the guy is a beast when he is on his game. plus dallas would be alot better with him and crayton in the slot, if he doesn,t get traded. plus look at the fact down the road you never know, who would go down with an injury, plus T.O. would have have his way with one on one coverage.

Landryha where can you find this information on the web looking all over for it. NFL Total Access dont come on till 5 for me.

Can we trade Wade Phillips?

must have been a matt millen last stand... give a ware is technically under contract til 2010... i hope jerry laughed at them and hung up.... i hope when we see him laughing in his box it's him thinking of this trade

I see Crayton Hurd and a 2nd pick. If this happens our offense will be unstoppable cant double TO anymore.

Aren't the Lions bad enough without you guys trying to totally rip them off? Crayton? Hurd? Yuk!!

I say hurd, crayton (hopefully ha) and 1 of our 2 3rd rounders and maybe a 2nd , or just both our 3rd rounders

They should GLADLY give up Crayton for a receiver that can hold onto the ball....

I would even offer those receivers and a first rounder

The Cowboys are out to win it NOW, and the Lions are quickly moving into rebuild mode. A young reciever (Sam Hurd), and some draft picks could get it done. I doubt Patrick Crayton will entice them in a trade at all, but add another third round pick (Dallas has two I believe in the upcoming draft after trades made this year) and this deal will likely get done. Detroit really needs offensive linemen, so even this guy they just got from Denver (Montrae Holland) or Berger possibly, but if it comes down to a starter or McQuistan, I don't think it would be worth it. Offensive Tackle is not a position Dallas can afford to deal out. There is not a great enough depth of talent on the O-line to make too many deals there.
