Refs Screwed Cowboys: Please Watch Video!
Folks, I have been collecting evidence all day of the wreckage the referees caused against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night. But this is so egregious I nearly vomit it when I see it. Now, when I saw this live I actually said out loud “It’s no good” and was sort of confused when it was called good.
Here is the evidence. Please watch it at the 2:14 mark. Gryphon spotted this too! How was that field goal good? Pause it and play it back second by second. It is not a good field goal.
This is obviously retribution for Jerry Jones’ comments about referee Ed Hochuli. But, take away this field goal, and the Dallas Cowboys win the game 24-23. Unbelievable. Folks, this is downright disgusting!
UPDATE: Pause it at the 2:17 mark and look real closely!!!!!! NOT GOOD!

It was good, as long the ball goes over the yellow post its good, but it was barely good.
September 29th, 2008 at 10:08 pmScobee kicked that kick against the Titans and it was ruled not a field goal. Jaguar fans know that if it goes outside the yellow post it is not good.
September 29th, 2008 at 10:29 pmIt did not go over the yellow post, Krob. Come on! Watch it slowly
September 29th, 2008 at 10:30 pmI’m sorry but have to agree with the video. The field goal was good. Now come on stop this crying and just admit Dallas lost to the better team on Sunday!
September 29th, 2008 at 10:45 pmMatt, you paused it at 2:17 and looked? Get glasses then, kid
September 29th, 2008 at 10:47 pmDan I knew you were pathetic but this is getting embarrassing for you. I mean please. Why don’t you review those two touchdown plays we had that were called back? Seriously man, muster what’s left of your dignity and questionable manhood and admit that your team got beat fair and square.
September 29th, 2008 at 11:07 pmYou know what you sound like? Those idiot patriots fans after the superbowl who claimed that the Patriots should have won. Seriously THAT’s how far you’ve sunk.
Pathetic.
September 29th, 2008 at 11:08 pmGuy, the Redskins are good, and played an awesome game. It was well coached. But please just pause it at 2:17 and look closely for the ball–it will be but a blur, but it is clearly on the right side of the yellow pole. Please, just be honest this one time and look at it. I will admit that it is no guarantee the Cowboys do anything, but this field goal was not good.
September 29th, 2008 at 11:15 pmOh and for the record, you’re a desperate idiot. I looked at the video and the kicked looked good to me. The problem is that from that angle it’s difficult to tell at what exact moment the ball gets over the crossbars. It appears to swing to the right because the ball had already gotten past the goal post and is so close to the camera (which is directly behind the goal post) that it appears to wing out like that. Without other camera angles, the only people in position to difinitively tell that are the freaking refs who are standing right underneath the goal posts.
This is a common problem when you’re actually watching the game in a stadium, and many times you could swear that a kick is good or bad because the angle is fucked up. If you went to more games, you’d probably know this. There was nothing wrong with the call. It was the correct call and you’re a whiny deranged loser for trying to make pathetic rationalizations like this.
September 29th, 2008 at 11:21 pmI posted that before seeing your post, but in all honesty, the kick looked good to me. The angles are just fucked up which makes it look funny. It happens a lot.
Freeze framing the picture means nothing because you’re looking at two dimensional footage and trying to extrapolate the original three dimensional events. The only thing you can say, *MAYBE*, is ”Yes, the ball hooks outside the goalpost at some point in time during it’s path.”
We don’t know if that happened before, after, or during it’s trip over the actual goalpost. We don’t know if it’s an illusion due to the position of the camera and the angle the ball takes. Really, your “evidence” is meaningless. And with two guys standing there who didn’t hesitate to call it good, there’s no doubt in my mind that…
1. They were in a MUCH better position to make the call than we are using that footage alone. And…
2. The Kick was good.
September 29th, 2008 at 11:31 pmi gotta give a bravo this keeps them coming here and off there own site lmao!
September 30th, 2008 at 12:12 amYou know, it IS possible to be on more than one site. It’s called Windows and multitasking.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:19 amWell you could be right about the angles but from that angle that kick is no good your blind if you think that went inside the post.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:52 amIts over theres nothing we can do about it but win ball games. But from that angle that kick was no good!
but as much as your on here……… you’d have to be redskins girl to multitask that much or well
September 30th, 2008 at 2:36 amWhy don’t we fast forward to the holding penalty on Rabauch (or however you spell his name) that wiped out the first of 2 touchdowns on that drive. It appears that while he tried to hold, he practically whiffed and was rolling on the ground while the man he “held” was zeroing in on Campbell. Give me that TD, take away whatever field goal you’re talking about, give Dallas the 15-yard facemask penalty and you still lose.
September 30th, 2008 at 7:01 amMr. Landryhat, a Cowboys fan complaining about the referees is downright laughable. No team get the benefit of the doubt more than America’s Team.
September 30th, 2008 at 7:13 am[...] some way to question the Redskins win yesterday. Michael David Smith at NFL Fanhouse finds (via The Landry Hat) a way to do that: in a game that the Redskins won by two points, it would certainly raise some [...]
September 30th, 2008 at 9:07 amDUDE. Its 3rd quarter. Even if Shuisham hooked it wide by 40 feet and they called it good, Dallas still sucked the whole game. With all the bad calls going on (Ed Hoculi), this is nothing…your really grasping on this…you’re making a case on a “maybe.” Pathetic.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:01 amWow a cowgirl fan complaining about a call Stop your whinning if you were as good as the hype the shouldn’t been close. Face facts your a bunch of overrated none winning playoff game loser
September 30th, 2008 at 10:07 amWhatever. You make no case. None. This is top-notch journalism right here. Top notch work. I found a significant error by these refs and I say it was retribution.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:07 amIm not going to say that suisham missed it but it does look suspect. I would like to see more angles.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:11 amHey I dont care if the penaltys are on us or the skins or any other team. The refs have been having bad calls since the season started and it needs to stop.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:22 amI actually missed that play during the game (I got kids man). And I’m not going to watch the video because it doesn’t really matter at this point. I agree with you though, there needs to be a better camera angle for reviewing field goals. I don’t know that this would have changed the outcome of the game, but I wouldn’t want that to be the reason we won.
However, seriously the first Rabach penalty was a horrible call, the second one was incorrect, he should have been called for “illegal man downfield” because I don’t even know if he touched anyone durning that play, that’s why he was downfield. However, we’ll trade that field goal for the TD we should have had and now the Skins win by one.
September 30th, 2008 at 11:01 amYou are so sad Landry Hat! Where in Dallas are you from by the way??? You should be blaming your genius head coach Wade for not reviewing it, if it is so freaking obvious. This is pathetic. Take your loss like a freaking man! And where in Dallas are you from???
September 30th, 2008 at 11:13 amYeah man you are the Woodward of Blog Writers. No one else noticed this!! I bet your pulitzer is in the mail. You know why no one else noticed it, cause it didn’t happen!!!
http://theredskinsblog.com/2008/09/30/tuesday-september-30-just-because-youre-paranoid/#more-1760
And where in Dallas are you from???
September 30th, 2008 at 11:15 amThat is a horrible camera angle to try and judge that kick. If we want a really clear view we need to see it from behind the kicker. Those refs look straight up from under that post so I find it kinda hard to get that call wrong.
September 30th, 2008 at 11:22 amKick looks in to me, but barely.
You can’t argue the final score because if the Redskins didn’t have a two-score lead they would’ve actually tried to move the ball down the field rather than run, run, run, punt at the end of their last series rather than run out the clock. [not counting the series when they were taking knees]
Also, say we didn’t get that FG and Dallas got that TD. Redskins would be on the Dallas 45 with 1:40 and two timeouts.
Nothing is definite my friend.

September 30th, 2008 at 11:23 amYou sir, are an idiot. To think one has a better angle to determine where the ball is as it passes the imaginary lines involved(the upright and the cross bar) from an aerial shot from BEHIND the goal posts and centered between the cross bars than one standing directly under the upright, exactly at the cross bar, is absolute idiocy. The simplest form of physics completely disregards this argument, the 2 dimensional view provided by the camera alone is enough to discount your argument. It is IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCURATELY GAGE WHERE THE BALL IS AS IT PASSES THESE TWO IMAGINARY PLANES from the angle being used as “proof”.
You shouldn’t let being fan dictate your eyesight so much. Sad, very sad.
September 30th, 2008 at 11:30 amthelandryhat Says:
September 30th, 2008 at 11:33 amWhatever. You make no case. None. This is top-notch journalism right here. Top notch work. I found a significant error by these refs and I say it was retribution.
Yeah man you are the Woodward and Bernstein of Cowboys Blogs. I bet your Pulitzer is in the mail. Should they mail it to your current or former Dallas address? Oh wait you have never lived in Dallas… Pathetic
What is truly sad here is just how much time Mr “HAT” has put into finding excuses for his team. Just because the Skins won doesn’t mean the ‘Boys all of a sudden suck. The reality is that the ‘Boys are a good football team, and SO ARE THE SKINS.
That’s all this means. In football terms, it could become more meaningful as the season winds down and it’s time to start thinking who will be in who will be out, but nothing more.
September 30th, 2008 at 11:41 amIt did go wide…after it went through. The proof is in that video…if you slow it down to still shots of 2:17…it shows it going in and then going wide…because of the angle of the camera.
it was close…but close was good enough.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:10 pmDid the refs throw that interception to Chris Horton too? That’s what lost the game. Overrated, overconfident pricks.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:23 pmIt was good! If it wasn’t good, Tony Ohno would have probably fumbled another snap. Stop crying because your “all star team” got their asses whipped. Especially up front with your “all star offensive line”. Aikman was stammering the whole game. Actually he is the only former cowgirl announcer or commentator who is pretty good and fair. Just face the facts – the Redskins dominated the cowgirls and pretty boy tony ohno.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:51 pmThe game is over! Move on Cowgirls. If you can keep all the players you guys have on probation out of jail, you might make the playoffs.
September 30th, 2008 at 1:29 pmEither way it was a loss and we have to move on from it, we will beat them in D.C.
September 30th, 2008 at 1:41 pmIt’s actually pretty pathetic that anyone puts that much time into something as insignificant as this. Do you not have a job, or did you do all this work on company time?
Yeah, officials blow calls, but that’s why they have the coach’s challenge.
Now, go nuke a bag of popcorn, grab a Red Bull and head back to your mother’s basement and watch those X-Files reruns.
September 30th, 2008 at 2:03 pmI love that video. I’ve watched it a few times already just to revel in that beautiful game. The ref was directly under the post- from the tv angle you cant see when the ball is passing the post.
September 30th, 2008 at 2:59 pmI love all the cowgirl fans talking about “we’ll get you next time.” I cant wait to see you in DC. We are going to eat your lunch… Again.
Big Daddy Jerk, all of my posts are predated and pretimed and done in the evenings after work, Mr. enforcer. Company time? Who the F are you? idiot.
September 30th, 2008 at 3:55 pmTake your loss like a man a move on…all you idiotic Cowboys fans do is cry when things don’t go your way. Get over it, we’ve already forgotten about you! Americas Team LMFAO
September 30th, 2008 at 4:01 pmand P.S. Here in DC, we arren’t as nice as the pansys in Dallas…Don’t even think of wearing your lame jerseys to the game at FedEx or risk gettin that A** beat down!
September 30th, 2008 at 4:07 pmhey bendover i have gone to the stadium twice wearing my jersey and no1 said shiit its because you all know how to respect the star…and seriously the skins fans are not tough..i dare you to go up to philly and wear ur jersey..philly is the only place i would not wear my jersey to
September 30th, 2008 at 4:17 pmthis is a horrible angle to judge. there is no perspective, you cant’ tell at what point the ball passed the plane of the goalposts. you think somehow the 2 refs standing directly under the goalposts didn’t see it correctly, none of the other refs happened to see it correctly and nobody on the cowgirls sideline happened to see it correctly, but you managed to spot it so clearly that you ‘nearly vomited’? you couldn’t be dumber.
September 30th, 2008 at 4:46 pmWhhhaaaaaaaaaaaah! You want some cheese with that whine?
September 30th, 2008 at 4:56 pmThe kick is good. Cry on.
October 1st, 2008 at 1:01 amWow. you are soo pathetic we had to point you out on our blog…congrats on the free publicty loser….notice how there are more skins fans on here then dallas fans….maybe you should root for a team who will actually give a damn what you say you say pathetic coward who only responds to the easy come-back comments….go play in traffic you sorry excuse for a football fan.
October 1st, 2008 at 3:37 amMy point is that you’ve put a pretty substantial amount of time into trying to prove something that cannot be proven from the “evidence” you’ve provided. Do you not have anything more important to do than spend time languishing in conspiracy theories about how the refs are out to get Jerry Jones?
If the NFL really thought the case had merit they would investigate it. After all, we don’t need a congressional investigation into fixing pro football.
October 1st, 2008 at 5:02 amBig Daddy Dink, I’ve put a collecting 15 minutes into proving the field goal was no good. That’s all. No substantial amount of time needed. I saw it live. I knew it was no good. End of story.
October 1st, 2008 at 8:52 amYou sir are a moron
October 1st, 2008 at 12:15 pmOK then lets take away Casey Rabach’s phantom holding call that negated a touchdown. Or how about Romo’s slide that started 2yds short of the first but was marked 1 yd past the first down marker. What about Romo failing to release the ball before crossing the line of scrimmage? If you want to nit pick, be consistent. DALLAS GOT BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 1st, 2008 at 4:19 pmDon’t worry, I’m not here to bash Dallas. When I saw your post I decided to take an objective at the video. Here are some clues to let you know that the field goal was good. First of all, The ball was kicked way above the goal posts, and the camera angle was deceiving. Second, The refs had the best angle in the stadium, better than any camera angle on TV. The best clue was the crowd reaction, the crowd right behind the goal posts. If the field goal was actually no good, the crowd would have errupted, instead, they were silenced. The field goal was good. Besides, it’s too late for a review.
October 2nd, 2008 at 7:36 amThis is never easy.
