The Philadelphia Eagles have some injury problems at wide receiver coming into the big game tomorrow night against the Dallas Cowboys. Both Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis will not play.
This leaves rookie DeSean Jackson (6 catches, 106 yards), Hank Baskett (who had a silly 2 catches for 101 yards and 1 touchdown against the Rams) and Greg Lewis (5 catches for 104 yards). Now, on paper, everyone’s eyes pop out at the numbers. Then you look at the team the Eagles played that Sunday, and well, enough said.
The Rams got blown out again today. Even Eli Manning looked superior against the Rams cornerbacks.
Now look at this post to see how the Cowboys cornerbacks did against a better receiver corps last week.
What does all of this tell you? Donovan McNabb should have nowhere near the game he had last week.
