I agree with that redskins guy and jessica's fan. It sounded like a playful remark anyway. Kick your butt is like, not even worth all of the stories and airtime.

The players really don't give a shit what Jessica Simpson has to say. The title of the stories I read were "Bulletin Board Material!". It's laughable.

And really, her comments were fairly benign.  People would forget about her if writers didn't feel the need to post articles fuming over every little thing she does.  If you want her to fade into obscurity, why are you contributing to the problem?

Hate her or love her, but she and Tony have been together for almost a year now. Interviewers will keep asking her about Tony, and she will gladly talk about him and show her support for the Cowboys. Nothing you say can change that. So deal with it!!!!!

I honestly don't see anything wrong with what she said. She believes in her team..er, her man's team. But you know what I mean. I think any fan of this blog, me included, would stand in the face of any Eagles fan and tell them the Cowboys are gonna kick their butt. The only difference is she's a celebrity and it was on TV. Bottom line is--the Cowboys will have to beat the Eagles, whether Jessica Simpson speaks or doesn't speak about it. It is a little different for a player, because then that specific player has to prove that he can walk what he talks. But for a fan to declare their faith in the Cowboys, whether Jessica Simpson or Average Joe, this is perfectly acceptable in my opinion. We have no reason to be afraid of the Eagles, even if they have "bulletin board material". I echo the sentiments of JS, "We're gonna kick their butts, too!".

Jessica's fan sure has your number Dan. You make me hate the Cowboys much more than she ever will.  And really, all she did in that post was talk trash, which is the same thing every fan does for their team.  She's not allowed to be a Cowboys fan?  You can split hairs about the "We" comment, but the fact is TONS of fans use "we" to refer to their team.

All these Jessica haters are just pissed that their blow up dolls cant do what she can....They need to stop playing World of War Craft and get a real job and maybe they can find a girl that actually has a pulse....

thelandryhat, I'm afraid i have to agree with whoever Jessica's Fan is.  You know i love your blog and come her at least daily. But we're not the only ones in the world that can support the boys.  Do you think that the Eagles are only paying attention to what Jessica says?  She's entitled to support her team however she chooses, just like we're all allowed to support our team however we choose. I say, more power to her.  She's got to have some smarts to choose the Cowboys and Romo to support.  Who knows, if she gets into supporting the Cowboys enough, maybe she'll finally tell Tony "Not tonight, you've got a big game tomorrow" when we make it back to the playoffs. :-)

Who cares if the opposing teams are going to make fun of the Cowboys. When Dallas get their 6th Lombardi Trophy, they are going to hate you even more anyway!

Romo is still with her because she's a GREAT girl! Caring, dorky and goofy girl with a huge heart who has been helping orphanages for years. So what if she doesn't have a high education? A qualification doesn't determine a person to be a good or evil human being. Romo knows he has found an amazing woman in Jessica.

What I love is that she can't even talk trash properly. She's talking about the giants, right? Then they bring up the Eagles and her response is "We're going to kick your but too."

Last I checked, the Giants won the last time they played the Cowboys. If any butts were being kicked it was Strahan stomping on Tony Romo's nicely tanned, straight-from-Cabo ass.

I am sure she does at least one thing very well ;-)
